We can't trade for Beal because of his extension.

Again I'm ok with that but Rui is not untouchable (imo) yet. Plus, those picks, dependent on lottery protections, could be worth much more than Rui with how bad our roster could be within the next 2-3 years.

I have been away for the last few days. I haven't read this whole thread yet, but is this Capela for Collins and Roco real? Am I dreaming? I got my hopes up last year before the deadline(Green/Temple). Please let this be real.

Does anyone think it's possible Hartenstein not getting minutes is intentional? As in, they don't want Capela's value / Rocket's leverage to diminish with the idea that we have a worthy backup? I can't imagine it would help Capela's value if Hartenstein is coming in and putting up similar stat-lines when CC is out. Morey wants other GM's to think we're begrudgingly giving up a fringe-star rim-protector to address other needs, not unloading someone whose stats have been boosted by our system who we have a capable replacement for.

find a consistent 3 point shooter(s) - Love, Reddick, Bjelica, Bertans, Marcus Morris, Jaren Jackson.

Aaron Gordon sent from Orlando magic.

Clint capaela shipped to Orlando from Houston on Southwest airlines first class.

Sign MDA to a two year extension for icing on the cake!

    Clint's numbers this year:
    13.9 ppg
    13.8 rpg
    1.8 bpg

Hart's numbers this year PER 36:
    14.8 ppg
    12.5 rpg
    1.7 bpg

I'm not saying they're the same players but Hart can be groomed to be as good as Clint if he's given PT....pretty much like how we groomed Clint during Dwight's last days on this team.

Add in the fact that Harty can (at least somewhat) stretch the floor. Definitely plausible.

Rockets got rid of Asik in favor of Howard. Then proceed to get rid of Howard in favor of Capela. Now Capela for Harty???? I for one would hate seeing capela, who rockets developed get traded away.

Morey has no time to wait for young players to develop. Young players are nothing more than trade assets to package for proven veterans or even stars. Some of these players turn out to be good and become the proven veterans we trade for.

I might have missed some, but on top of my head, Capela seems to be the only draftee that was re-signed after his rookie contract.

Thomas Bryant is 22 years old
    6'10 250
Can shoot the three a little?! (Not a huge sample size)
Making $7.9M this year; $8.3M & $8.7M the next two years

Dāvis Bertāns is Mike's wet dream stretch four/five
CF will love him as well...just as much as they love D-Mo, Ryan Anderson & Kevin Love.
Tilman will love his $7M expiring contract

Their contracts are also easier to use in trades if/when Tilman hits that "LTS" red button. You attach either contract to Gordon in the summer and now we can finally obtain that mythical beast/savior name Kevin Love lol.

LOL Odds those "League sources" are Tilman himself? (Tilman does have a show on CNBC.)

Tilman is pathetic. Tilman is fake all in. Take all my picks for the next 10 years but damn that luxury tax! Not a penny over!

I need you to decrease salary while staying competitive & making it to the Conference Finals/NBA Finals!

Houston trades: Capela, 1st round pick, 2nd round pick, Nene, Sefolosha
    Houston receives: Covington, Bjelica, Holmes

    Kings trade: Bjelica, Holmes, Dedmon
    Kings receive: Capela, Sefolosha

    TWolves trade: Covington
TWolves receive: Dedmon, Nene, 1st round pick (HOU), 2nd round pick (HOU)

    ---------

I don't love losing Capela, but am resigned to it at this point. The Twolves are apparently postering about wanting 2 first round picks for Covington, but that's laughable. He is about as valuable as PJ Tucker, and no one is giving us 2 FRPs for Tucker. They have to take on salary in Dedmon which might then make this a non-starter, but they get a first and second round pick.

Push come to shove, I MIGHT go ahead and add that second round pick, or find some way to get it done... and that's only because I value the fact that we are getting Holmes back, too in this deal. I'd rather move one of Rivers/McLemore/House instead, though. Might have to add House back to Kings anyway.

    ----------

    New starting lineup:
    Russ
    Harden
    Tucker
    Bjelica
    Holmes

    New bench:
    Rivers
    Gordon
    McLemore
House (unless sent in trade, if so, no big deal)
    Covington
    Hartenstein

This is a DEEP team. You can adjust starters vs. bench. Eg. move Covington in as the starting three, Tucker back to the 4, either Holmes or Bjelica at the 5.

It's just a matter of time because ESPN is already writing a story in the news headlines! Lol!

I think this isn't something they're really considering cause:

    - MDA is gone
    - the next coach willbe another players coach who will adapt to the players we already have
