Coach is not a buffoon. The other team was better coached and better disciplined. Other team was better.

Yikes! The Texans are way too talented(especially the starters) to not be better than the Panthers.

I was specifically talking about the Hopkins pass. The Texans drew up a play that probably would've worked had Carolina fallen into whatever trap the Texans thought they were setting. But they didn't because they had been coached particularly well.

Unless you're Bill Belichick, maybe a handful of other coaches... an NFL head coach WILL be outcoached. Not because he's dumb or stubborn or arrogant - but because the other guy was just better that week/day.

    "Gotta coach better"

In my opinion, O'Brien has proven to take less talent and have them play at a decent level. Pretty much he makes bad look average or slightly above average. He did it at Penn State and with the Hoyer and Fitzpatrick teams. What I dont think we have seen is him coaching a talented team to play even above their talent level. That is to get good to look even better. Talent-wise, he has a good team. I dont think we have seen the offense play better than their talent-level. Hopefully we will soon. Or they need to get someone who can.

Maybe it's Maybelline... or maybe it's this god damn awful offensive line, Brian!

Run ball keep K.C. offense off the field.

This dude can coach. He has great perspective of the entire situation. Dude made playoffs with Hoyer. We got Watson Hopkins O-Line Hyde

You O'Brien haters ain't ready. Even the losses look good. Saints and Calmness Panthers looking like playoff teams

The offense looks like it might finally be good in year 6, and all they had to do was mortgage two future drafts and the salary cap

They will $90 plus million in cap space. You gave 2 1st and a 2nd. They have others picks. 2018 draft didnt have 1 or 2 and is turning out to be a very SOLID draft (Reid, Akins, KeKe Coutee, Jordan Thomas, Duke Ejiofor, Peter Kalambayi). Even Rankin being traded for Carlos Hyde can be counted.

They have around $90m but a lot of that could go to Watson and Tunsil extensions. They have several other free agents to sign including reader who will be expensive.

That draft is good, but really only Reid has shown to be starter quality. Thomas, ejiafor and kalambayi haven't done much yet. But that's not abnormal for where they were drafted

Thomas showed a lot last season. He got hurt at the end of camp. He will be back after week 8.

I heard he was actually on the bubble which is why he was playing late in preseason games

No. Thomas was easily going to make this team.

he was playing the 4th preseason game. It was going to be tough because Fells was an automatic, Akins was healthy, and Jerrell Adams played the his way into making the team. That draft was overrated. Outside of Justin Reid falling for some crazy reason, all the other picks were okay.

Jerrell Adams only made the team because of Thomas’ injury. Adams is no longer on the Team anymore. He was cut for TE that could block better (and has yet to be Active).
