In 2015 Trump rode down that escalator and said “I see white people”... and said pretty loudly that the Republicans were fools for not fully using the power of hate to the extreme in order to seize power for as long as white people are still have money to sink into politics. This is actually who we are. This nation has an ugly history with the original sin being the atrocities to the indigenous population and years later with slavery. The only question is will it ever change?? Probably not any time soon and Trump who is financed by the billionaires who want a partnership with Russia and the authoritarian movement to establish a global oligarchy will milk this as long as he can. Yes, he's a racist... but we knew this. Many knew this. He still won in 2016. The DEM can turn this into election win by.... - attacking GOP candidates in blue state that didn't immediately denounce this as __FILL IN THE BLANK__ - and by focusing on Trump, not as a racist (known quality), but as someone that is dumb, stupid and is a President of Fox News. He needs to portrait himself as a stable genius that know business and can negotiate. That was a main attraction to him for the midwest region. He's none of that. He watch news, is lazy and shoot tweets from his hip based on what Fox and right wing media tells him. Make the connection to him making deals based on talking heads. I'm sure there are plenty of clips of Tucker or someone from Fox or other right wing media making some comments and it set him off.. or he repeat ...
It's a strange phenomenon that I'm guilty of myself. Yes, we know that he acts in racist ways. Some folks keep denying it and rationalizing it. For some reason, we can't help but believe the next racist thing he does will be the one that changes people's minds. So we keep posting the evidence of yet another racist act or message from Trump. In our minds, the racism is clear and plain. We don't understand why others don't see the evidence and register it for what it is. Yet, Trump supporters don't register it, or even worse they echo the sentiments either secretly or not so secretly.
