CNN Sets Don Lemon, Jake Tapper and Dana Bash As Dem Debate Moderators

CNN’s Dana Bash, Don Lemon and Jake Tapper will moderate the network’s Democratic presidential primary debates over a two-night stretch July 30-31, the network announced today.​

Because MSNBC did not jump the shark hard enough when they had Rachel Maddow as one of their Democrat Debate Moderators in June. CNN apparently has no intention of being outdone.

Do these people have no shame? Is there no lower threshold to how low they are going to cause their standards to fall?

Don Lemon. Seriously, if they wanted to choose a left leaning partisan hack who was more disreputable than this guy, who could they go to? I am drawing a blank. Someone please help me out here.

 

The hard left New York Times forbids its reporters from appearing on Don Lemon's or Rachel Maddow's shows, because these two are regarded by THE NEW YORK TIMES as being too left wing partisan.

CNN does ‘disservice to voters’ by naming Don Lemon debate moderator, critic says

CNN announced on Monday that Don Lemon will follow in the footsteps of MSNBC’s far-left opinion host Rachel Maddow as a Democratic presidential primary debate moderator -- and one critic called the decision a "disservice to voters all across the political spectrum.”

Lemon will join Dana Bash and Jake Tapper for the two-night event on July 30-31 from Detroit. Debate moderators are historically straight-news journalists, as opposed to partisan pundits, but CNN’s decision mirrors NBC’s strategy to allow Maddow to moderate last month’s Democratic Debate.

The New York Times reportedly forbids its reporters from appearing on both Maddow and Lemon’s programs, because they are considered too partisan even for the Times – which is often criticized for leaning left itself. Conservative strategist Chris Barron told Fox News that CNN’s decision is “a disservice to voters all across the political spectrum” because Lemon is so open about his own views.

“They are more interested in the political version of a church revival than an actual debate,” Barron said.​

Like the article says, debate hosts have typically been people who at least some people believe are straight news journalists. Apparently not anymore.

 

Biden's support is going soft in New Hampshire. His lead is now three, which is within the margin of error.

If all of the early races are this close, this contest could drag on for quite a while.

 

The primaries are still six months off, so a lot can still change. But the polls that have been coming out recently are anticipating a real scrum.

Joe Biden's campaign is defying the left's "medicare for all" mantra. Sound like he hired some new consultants who reminded him that he is supposed to be the "moderate" candidate, since he previously seemed to have forgotten this.

Joe doesn't seem to get out much these days. So his campaign staff are out making these presentations for him. In any case, there is another debate next week, and Joe will not be able to send any of his staff to that. So hopefully he is up to speed on this when he is pushed to explain what he means by this and where he differs from his adversaries on this point - if in fact he actually does.
