Lakers get 4th pick and Celtics get 14th and 20th pick

    Celtics potential offer
Jayson Tatum , Jaylen Brown, sign Rozier and Morris to big contracts and get Davis/Solomon Hill
    Total Celtics payroll/tax 220 million+ each year.

    Lakers potential offer
Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, Kuzma, the 4th overall pick

None of those Lakers and Celtics are top 20 players in the nba.
For Pelicans, they want to win now, they don't need future picks.

    What the Lakers fans want:
Wait until next season and sign Davis in free agency

    Pelicans dont like the Lakers.

As long as you come close to whatever the Lakers are offering (dont even have to beat the offer), Pelicans will keep trolling the Lakers and then shut the door on them once more.

Nobody can beat what the Knicks have to offer. DSJ, Knox, #3 pick, then the 2 Dallas picks they own.

There is a report by Bill Plashke LA Times, he said it on Around the Horn, New Orleans will never trade Anthony Davis to the Lakers, they will try to convince him to stay.

If AD people tell NY & Boston he won’t resign. No deal take place. Trading that much assets for a gamble could set both those teams back a decade. So it’s really what AD want.

The only true power move NO could do is let him play the year out or dump him to a team that want a superstar salary dump

not necessarily true. pg13 turned out to be worth the gamble for okc when he made it known he wanted to be in LA

nop isn't getting set back. they're getting pieces for a star player already leaving. letting him play the year out and getting 0 in return doesn't make sense at all

Not remotely the same. OKC gave up on Victor along with that 20 mil per. So if PG left u still had Russ & Adams. Now if AD dip. Boston stuck with Hayward & Smart as the two best players with possibly no good 1st round picks after a 25 win season lol

not the same? umm if pg left, okc would have nothing to show for it lol. they took a risk and it they did enough for him to stay. Russ and adams? is that supposed to make anyone feel better about okc?

Ainge already missed on three wing star players because he was keeping his assets 3 years now for AD. The Celtics aren't interested on being a 4-5th seed and losing in the first two rounds of the playoffs.
They will still go for it regardless of Kyrie and try to sell him on Boston to resign.

Losing PG for nothing would not affect OKC future. Boston or NY losing that many assets could set them back years

what? so losing a perennial all star in pg13 and borderline mvp candidate doesn't affect a teams future.

    ok

You right. My bad Okc has been to the conference finals every year with PG lol

Russ could get OKC to playoffs on one leg. But I guess instead of getting swept. PG good for a gentleman sweep lol

If Irving bolts (which seems likely) i'm not sure what's the point for Ainge to trade for Davis since he would've to trade Tatum, he'll be left with Horford, Hayward, Davis, Rozier (assuming he doesn't get overpaid) and maybe Brown...i just don't see it.

The Lakers will obviously trade the 4th pick for Davis, along with a mix of Kuzma, Ingram, Ball and everything they can trade (Hart, 2nd rounders etc), that's still better than only Tatum and the two picks Boston can offer imo, Ainge will be forced to offer Tatum and Brown imo, but at that point the Celtcis will remain with Horford, Davis, Hayward, Smart, Rozier (maybe)...

To me, if Irving is gone Ainge doesn't trade Davis. And regardless, i can see the Knicks being ahead of everyone at this point, better picks than Boston and better players than the Lakers, even though, i can still see the Pelicans take the Celtics package cause they might find Tatum and Brown less risky in terms of development then Knox and Robinson/Smith.

I had forgot about that. I'd love to watch New Orleans string the Lakers along again and use them as leverage.

NY package is better than the Boston package.

Pick #3, Robinson, DSJ and Knox.

Provided they can sign Kyrie or Durant.

The knicks can offer the third overall pick, Kevin Knox and Mitchell Robinson. I'd take that over both Boston and L.A's offers

looking back on this, Dwight Howard was another 1-year rental, but he left LAL instead and, yeah, this screwed the franchise for 5-6 years as well as Kobe's chances of another chip run, AND the possible signing of PG onto this roster.

either way, both good points -- you'd rather not lose the player after the 1-year rental, but we've also seen players stay after they taste the fruits of success in the new franchise so perhaps it's worth that risk. Kawhi is another one that may end up staying.
