They need a do-over with Rankin. His injury was a big setback but never understood why they threw him right into the fire at LT and moved Davenport over to RT. He then gets benched until late in the season where they play him at OG. Just seems strange that we had 4 different players start at RT, none of which were Rankin even though most people projected him as a RT or OG coming out of the draft.

He didn’t play right tackle because he was uncomfortable there but had played some left tackle in college. Just turns out - Davenport was equally bad at swinging to the other side.

I’m not sure devlin had the best approach last year on a multitude of fronts. I was mildly surprised we didn’t look to move in from him when the colts oline coach came available.

That's true but I don't believe he played any OG in college either. Then again injuries were mounting up where we didn't have many options. Completely agree on Devlin though.

Somehow managed to finish 5th in a 4 person race. Nice work, Martin (and Develin).

I got some crap earlier this off season when proclaiming the whole O Line needed revamping.

    Martin isn't the greatest either.

Nick Martin came into the league playing well. Maybe he just didn't get any better. I don't know if it's him or the Oline coach.

I will need to dig it up, but someone actually said Fulton and Martin were fine as starters.

I found that hilarious as both were bad.

Texans could have used someone like Hunt.

John, we feel real comfortable with Lamar and Alfred. Great combo. Both work hard, getting better every day. We're not looking to add any running backs at this time.

I know you didn't expect the Texans to do anything. They can't even properly use the team they have now.

We like our guys. We feel like we have a really competitive running backs room. These guys practice hard and the key is they love to be coached. Versatile guys, play special teams.

Anyone else excited about the Texans bold hire for offensive coordinator?

I can already tell things are going to be different....... I can feel it in my bones.

This will turn out to be a very useful decision for the Texans. With a very difficult schedule next year, they will now have someone to blame when the offense struggles. BOB keeps his job, but the OC is fired or demoted.
