Florence today extended his contract and will give the salary to Davide's wife and daughter, great gesture.

Sure, but I think you are clouded in your judgment by his time as Bayern coach when he did have the least success.

I am not saying he is perfect but I dun think a top coach is required to do well with any ball club.

I still consider Anchelotti semi elite.

There is a reason why Bayern did not hire many foreign coaches or that they were moderately successful.

Pep probably needed 100% free reign, get the midfielders that he wanted.

That said, I think Man City will be improved but I dun think they will be as dominant as in the league.

Not sure why you said all this, it is an objective and generally agreed-on fact that Pep's ultra-aggressive pressing and high defensive lines are very risky and often lead to crucial defeats, also with Barcelona.

This has nothing to do with only his Bayern tenure or ill feelings..

No ill intent, it might sound chippy but it aint directed that way.

Just from his Bayern tenure, I dun think either of you guys had much love for him. That all. I remember the bickering. You tend to have overexaggerated expectations toward coaches there.

I also know some of the negative sentiments stem from his complicated relationship with Mueller-Wohlfart.
He is egocentrical for sure. So is Jose Special One Mourinho.

So no hard feelings. As long as the crucial defeats are kept at a low nothing to worry about.

Pep is a dumbass. Great coach, but a dumbass who thinks he is a philosopher or something.

And it's more about proving how clever he is than really about winning. You have the best right back in Lahm and the best left back in Alaba...what do you do...move them both to midfield. Just stupid.

    Solid argument.

I am not proving y'all that he is perfect. He does make mistakes. His team can be beat.

Alaba had a great time under him alledgedly.

Bye Bye Qatar. Sheiks will probably blame the referee like they always do.

Neymar being out with an injury is sadly the perfect excuse for them, would've been more funny if the team was fully healthy in both matches.

Sheik's minion already blamed Veratti's red card, said this was the decisive moment (when they were down 1-0 and 4-1 in aggregate).

Meanwhile Draxler publicly criticised his own coach. On the one hand I'd love to see him in Munich, on the other I don't want to see one single € go to PSG.

Nobody watching Spurs vs Juventus? Great match so far, after being down 1-0 Juve just turned the whole thing around in a few minutes and is up 2-1. Tottenham has to response.

Juve wins it against all odds! Best matchup in this round by far, both teams would've deserved to make it to the quarters.

The odds that Chelsea does not make it stand at a high so it's Man City, United and Liverpool as the English teams.

Juve is an old team with a young superstar Dybala.

Wouldn't count out Sevilla yet. They're for sure not favored and I don't expect them to make it, but United played sloppy as of late and we all know how huge one single away goal can be in international competition.

Wonder if today is the end of the end for Wenger. Lose badly at home, pretty much ending all hopes at getting into any UEFA competition next yea. It's nearly impossible to see a way he survives this season as it is. I doubt they'd fire him before the season lets out but this team is done with him as a manager.

Wish it wasn't. I wish, as a United fan, that they give him a lifetime contract.

Dortmund losing 1:2 vs RB Salzburg, embarrassing.

Hope Leipzig does better, Bundesliga sucking hard this season.
