Surprisingly good movie. Little bit of humor, little bit of unexpected creatures fighting or killing each other or people. The acting wasn't bad either. I'd also give it a solid 7/10
If you have not seen a Korean movie until now. Please please please watch Oldboy. Make sure you are not preoccupied or distracted while watching it. Check back in here after. Ps This is a top 10-15 movie for me.
To add to this. Do not mistake the Korean version for the American version. Stay far, far, far away from the American version. If by any off chance you happen to be in the vicinity of the American version burn it with fire, then pee on its ashes, but not until the fires done burning.
Green lantern: first flight. 7/10 Fun animated movie. Hot alien bish. Sinestro cool enemy worth watchinh
To add to the unique twists of monster movies in Korean film, I'd recommend Thirst. Really creative and comprehensive take on vampirism.
Railroad Tigers - 10/10 Caveat: I love the Chinese film industry and this is classic good Chinese cinema. It's all about working together, being against the odds, taking risks, never letting the audience forget that they're watching a movie, funny, Jackie Chan.. this one has it all for me. I love when they get a little hokey just to entertain you. If you didn't like The Taking of Tiger Mountain or The Admiral, RedCliff movies like that, you probably won't like this one, but if you're into Chinese themes you'll probably love it like I did.
I would give it a 8.5/10. Really funny, good premise. Its pretty crazy to see Jackie in a movie not using his martial arts at all.
The other thing to me about Jackie was that they didn't really highlight him. In fact, when I saw him at first I thought it was him, but then I started questioning myself and thinking maybe I was generalizing, but I eventually found out for sure like 45 minutes in.
I did the same thing. I was surprised when I finally imdb'd it. I want to say there were a lot of big name Chinese actors in there, Im just not too familiar with Chinese productions, at least ones not from Hong Kong.
Has anyone watched the Serbian Film? If you haven't, please don't. I didn't know what it was about when I started watching, and couldn't continue watching it for more than 5 minutes.
