I'm being offered OBJ + my pick of Russell Wilson or Ameer Abdullah for Gronk. I already have Cam and Romo so if I go with Wilson, presumably I'd have to include one of them. Standard league.
What TE's are on the wire and/or do you have on your bench? Who are your WRs? Who are your RBs? Who would you have to cut in the 2 for 1 if it's Abdullah? All depends on who OBJ would replace in your lineup, who Abdullah replaces on your bench/in your lineup. If you can get a decent enough sleeper like Eifert, have enough of a need for OBJ (probably), and could use a backup/lottery ticket RB, I'd go for the deal with Abdullah. I think you can roll with Romo/Cam.
Thoughts on trading Emmanual Sanders + Joique Bell for Mike Wallace + Arian Foster? I already have DeMarco Murray, Demariyus Thomas, and Carlos Hyde on my team. Other option is Sanders for Maclin.
I need a TE. Julius Thomas is out 3ish weeks. My options: Owen Daniels (leaning towards him) Larry Donnell Vernon Davis Dwayne Allen Ladarius Green
Really? He's been a non-factor for a while it seems. But I picked him up. You don't like the OD and Kubes connection playing against their old team Baltimore? I feel like he'd see the end-zone.
From that list you posted, I like Davis' chances of success the best. I'm going to say I think Vernon Davis' season last year was an outlier in ceiling planning. A very disastrous outlier, but nevertheless, he is capable of putting up much better numbers. Just like we learn to expect a regression to the mean, in this case we can probably expect a progression to the mean. Davis' value over the years was largely related to an extremely high TGT-TD percentage. 80 TGT - 13 TD, a ridiculous number, but he's managed to do it twice in his career. Thats around an astounding 1:6 ratio. Last year his targets dwindled to 50 and he only caught 26 passes and only 2 TDs. 50 TGT - 2 TD is only a 1:25 ratio. Now that isn't going to mean earth-shattering numbers, but I expect at least something around 70 TGT, 1:12 ratio which could see him back up to respectable low end TE numbers and probably anywhere between 5-7 TDs. As for Owen Daniels in Denver, all we really have to do is look at the past TE numbers. Owen Daniels is not likely going to have a Vernon Davis explosion type year like Julius Thomas. It is also possible that Virgil Green could get looks in the Thomas role in the red zone. Daniels has proven to be a reliable TE over the middle and catches a fair share of TDs, but there will be a lot of targets floating in other areas and more of a commitment to the running game which will mean more blocking and more 2TE sets.
I disagree. I think Daniels does very well in that offense. I do see Vernon Davis improving on last year's craptasm (it would be impossible not to) but I think he finishes in the 8-15 range while Daniels becomes more of a 5-10 range guy with potential for more. Both are good late TE targets, though.
Since I already have him I'll ride with Vernon. Now do I keep Julius or drop him for Antonio Gates? Both will be back around the same time. AG was solid for me last season, and I had Julius the year before that!
There are no decent TE's available and I don't have a back up. My RB's are Frank Gore, Melvin Gordon, Isaiah Crowell and a few fliers on the bench. My receivers are Julio Jones, Desean Jackson, and fliers.
I'm not sure OD gets all the snaps over Green. I think whichever Manning prefers is going to get the PT. Not Kubiak's boy.
Allright folks. Help me craft a trade to win my league (.5 PPR). Potential trade partner roster: QB - Cam Newton, Carson Palmer WR - Antonio Brown, Odell Beckham RB - Latavius Murray, Melvin Gordon FLX - Andre Ellington My roster: QB - Andrew Luck, Tom Brady WR - Deandre Hopkins, Julian Edelman RB - CJ Anderson, Alfred Morris FLX - CJ Spiller The strategy: My opponent wanted Brady REALLY badly, but whiffed on him when I snagged him as a backup in round 10. He's not sold on Newton and is bullish on Palmer but clearly wants a better QB. With the news about Brady dropping today his value is at a peak, and I need help at either RB2 or WR. I'm very high on Hopkins and don't want to give him up unless I'm getting Brown in return. LET'S MAKE IT HAPPEN, CF!
Looks like he's very shaky at QB and at RB while very strong at WR. I'd try a Brady/Hopkins swap for either Brown or ODB.
Should I make this trade? Tom Brady for Justin Forsett? That would leave me with Sam Bradford as my QB. Otherwise, I could sweeten it by adding Andre Johnson to the trade for Forsett + Tevin Coleman. That would leave my WR corp as AJ Green, Dez Bryant and Brandin Cooks. The potential trade partner has Tannehill as their QB.
I sent him Brady/Edelman for Newton/ODB. If that doesn't work, gonna try Hopkins/Brady for Newton/Brown. If still nothing, gonna go last ditch with Hopkins/Brady for Newton/ODB.
First time doing fantasy football in about 5 years so a bit rusty.. Nonetheless, inputs are appreciated. Trying to see if I should drop Julius Thomas. Also, unsure on Jets. 10 team-PPR- (6 Pts TDs)- 7th pick Matt Ryan- QB Demaryus Thomas- WR Julio Jones- WR Frank Gore- RB Latavius Murray- RB Tyler Eifert- TE Vincent Jackson- Flex Jonathan Stewart- BN Julius Thomas- BN Ameer Abdullah- BN Cam Newton- BN Kendall Wright- BN Marques Colston- BN Justin Tucker- K Jets- DEF
Would ya'll make this trade? Receiving: Matt Ryan Julio Jones Antonio Brown Nelson Agholor Departing: Andrew Luck Golden Tate Adrian Peterson Rashad Jennings Besides those guys my team looks like this at those positions (ppr): QB: N/A RB: CJ Anderson, Chris Ivory, Arian Foster, David Johnson WR: Julian Edelman, John Brown, Victor Cruz, Brian Quick
6 pt. passing TD. The guy didn't show up for the draft and it was 2 weeks ago right after Jordy tore his ACL, so that was his 3rd rounder. He's playing catch up with the rest of us in the office so I figure why not take advantage. Ryan to Julio will be double points and we still have quality QBs on the waiver wire... S. Bradford, C. Palmer, A. Dalton, M. Mariota, D. Carr, C. Kaepernick, etc.
