daywalker, the Wolves are in the lottery. They traded away a superstar player for a kid and their other superstar player has missed 40 games. But that one player kept them close against arguably the best or second best team in the NBA. Rubio is a fantastic player.
This is my favorite thread ever. In truth its really difficult to project college level talent to the next level. But still hilarious.
Fun to read the old prognostications. I had the advantage of seeing quite a bit of Steph, and knew he would be good, but to be fair did not expect MVP type good. And by all accounts he is a great guy as well. Props to jopatmc and CXbby as well.
Hindsight maybe 20/20, but douchebaggery “I’m absolutely certain insert-prospect will suck in the NBA” quotes just proves the theory that people who don’t know what they’re talking about, also speak the loudest and most confident. Listen to any good GM talk about prospects and their uncertainty, and then listen to Billy King declaring that there are only 3 players worth taking in the Wallace for Lillard trade, and pretty much you know who actually knows about basketball.
We don't have the money for Curry now or they won't let him go but well Aaron Brooks would be good to have right now.
Man, I whiffed badly. Jopmatc, kudos to you buddy! Although I think the thread should have probably been about whether we should have traded McGrady/Yao for Curry lol!
