Am I the only one who HATES group texts?

I have a running group text with a few of my friends. Comedy gold... If you haven't figured out how to have fun with group texts then you need new friends.

But, I have sent texts out to a group accidentally by just clicking on the first thread that I see with the name of the person I'm trying to text. Now THAT sucks. They should make group text threads a different color or something.

 

For people suggesting GroupMe, Google Hangouts and such, are you using these as secondary texting/messaging apps, or your primary ones? Or is it closer to 50/50 with another option?

 

Google Hangouts for SMS.
Facebook Messenger for Group Texting.

I use hangouts for hangouts and messenger for SMS. I'm part of a few groupmes but I prefer to be added via my number. The groupme is assigned a phone number in which I add to my contacts with a group name. Now I can reply to it via voice texting while driving.

 

Have a bunch of older friends: problem solved. (Though it still happens to me sometimes, when some idiot wants to text a bunch of pictures or stories about their kid at an amusement park or something.)

 

I use Hangouts as default messaging app so texts are included since I am a Google Voice user, it goes directly to my Hangouts app too.

Most of the people I "text" are on Hangouts so easy choice for me. I actually have the Messaging app deleted (root user).

 

They are comedy gold!

 

Just throw your POS phone away and get an IPhone. Problem solved.

 

I use whatsapp as a primary messaging apps, and facebook messenger would be secondary, but I barely use it, like 90/10.

 

Time to upgrade bro. The Note 4 is calling you.
