Unless it's an egregious attempt to troll this board, I don't get how people on here can bash any of our "insiders" for the information they are relaying. It's up to you whether or not you want to believe it what they're posting. And if you DO believe or put some credit into what they're posting, why bash them if it doesn't come to fruition? It was YOUR own decision to believe them in the first place.
Plowman, Drew, cyberx: Just want to thank you guys for what you've brought to the board. I understand these types of situations are fluid, and have lots of moving pieces. I think I can speak for majority of CF when I say thank you for what you bring, and you guys are valuabe assets (no morey) to the community. Keep doing what you do.
He has, and some of it scorched him to the bone, but he should have known better than to put a time frame on a trade. I'll chalk it up to the exuberance of youth (may he enjoy it while it lasts!) and wanting to impress the crowd. I'm curious about your "contingency plans....for a star PG". I half-wonder if Rubio is more of a target, and what would it take to get him once the Kevin Love deal goes down (probably this weekend).
He has inquired - YES. At the price he is asking - DM is saying NO thank you. Morey is not going to put that much into a guy that can't stay healthy.
lol You are right. I would like to say to Drew that he was right and to thank him for going out on a limb. Nice call. Bravo.
That is because he made a deadline that came and went. Your 7 - 10 day guarantee has not passed, so you could still be vindicated. Hope you are correct, would be nice to get an upgrade at PG.
At the very least, activity seems to be picking up. I don't mind the differences between Plowman and cyberx. Both have sources telling them there have been discussions. They may differ on where those discussions are, but that's ok......neither are sitting in the war room. Sometimes as fans we put things in absolutes that just aren't. We are likely having discussions with several teams, who themselves are having discussions with several teams. I do expect us to make a move simply because it seems our roster is positioned that way. Tons of PGs, expiring contracts, prospects, and a really good pick. It kind of reminds me of how things looked before the Harden trade (though obviously not as extreme).
Believe me, I'd love nothing better.(with a side trek to Amsterdam : ) ) But, alas my commitments here don't allow for that kind of flexibility at the moment. That said, what about hooking up and catching some regular season games? I'm definitely down with that and all that goes with it.
