Why is Chrome so damn slow?

    I always hear glowing things about Google Chrome, but lately it's just been awful. On top of being slower than a snail on acid at times, it has this weird glitch where the page keeps refreshing and I have to click the back button a hundred million times just to go back to the previous page. It's not just on my laptop, this also happens on the desktop. I tried disabling the plugins, but it's still coming to a crawl. Why does it take 3 years just to load up the Google main page??

    That sounds like IE. Are you sure you're not using Internet Explorer? The chrome icon looks like this:

    Chrome sucks and has sucked for a couple of years now. Only people who don't know any better continue to use it thinking it's still the best browser.

    Chrome is a memory hog but I have not experienced any of the problems you are.

    Uninstall and reinstall from scratch. Slowly add back plugins in case one of them is the culprit.
