So I'd take it as fairly representative with some standar deviation of error, but even if you want to use say two standard deviations on this 1,000+ sample size, the result is still quite conclusive that Jeremy Lin staying with or leaving the Rockets will have a big impact on its following.

Someone claimed 100,100 fans responded to a poll; I asked for a link; you gave a link to 1128 fans, and did not translate that part. So in this case, the support you gave was 100 times smaller than the original claim. Also, it was 10% off the original claim. If I don't refute that strongly, then two weeks later people are quoting it as fact: "100,000 Chinese have spoken!" And now you act like you forgot the whole context of this thread.
