Weird phishing email

    I got this email at my company address today.

    My name is Peter Kim, a proud graduate from ChungBuk University in South Korea. I cannot express to you how excited I became as I came across your company's website. It is the kind of company that I have been looking for, and I am willing to do whatever it takes to obtain a full-time position. I was a prominent undergraduate student in the communication studies department here, and from time to time even assist other students with brainstorming and analysis. I really want a job in the Construction industry.

    I am the most hard working person I know, and I love self-improvement. I have always felt that my time should be spent well, so I continuously challenge myself. I decided to double my efforts by taking two classes while holding part-time jobs. That semester I achieved a 3.0.     (1) This alleged applicant wants a job in construction, and I work for an energy company. (2) He has a degree in communications; I work in strategy. (3) No indication he's legal to work in the US. (4) His GPA is a pedestrian 3.0 while taking only 2 classes at a time, and no work experience. (5) I don't have any jobs to fill. (6) The email domain was buy-pinterest-followers.com (7) He's not a real person.

    I don't know, our email filter stripped off all attachments.

    These spammers just collect email addresses. If you reply, they know you are a real person and further spam mail ensues since they know someone will be reading it. Best not to respond.

    I get a lot of spam email to my business email from random people just saying "Hi, how are you?" for example.
