Saturday Reliant Stadium Time: 230p Tv: Espn News (ch 116 Houston Comcast) Line: Byu -10 Totals: 63 Coogs looking to become bowl eligible for the 8th time in last 11 seasons.
First real game for the Coogs. I hope the defense plays like the have been. We don't want BYU doing to us the same thing they did to UT.
Tough game. Going to have to stop the run. The (BYU) Cougars have a pretty solid two-headed monster in QB Taysom Hill and RB Jamaal Williams. It's going to be physical as well. They make you work for your points. The highest point total they have allowed this season was 21 in the game against Texas. I think the bottom line is that if UH can make the BYU offense one-sided, they have a shot to make this interesting. As good an athlete as Hill is, he has completed fewer than 50% of his passes and he has as many interceptions as he does touchdowns.
Won't get too optimistic since BYU has an offense built around UH's main defensive weaknesses (run D, mobile QBs). I'll be at the game though, Go Coogs!
I disagree. Our defense against the run is better than our D against the pass. This is going to be a tough game, so hopefully we can force turnovers like we have been doing. IT's also homecoming, so I hope there is a huge UH crowd. BYU is expected to bring in 15,000 to the game (no joke).
Our strength on both sides of the ball is speed. We essentially run track out there. I think in general it is the size on offense that tends to push us around. Or size in space tends to eat away at us like the ebola virus. We haven't really been tested yet. As most of the teams we played have been pretty sorry at the passing game. So no real dual threat. I think BYU will be too slow for us. My biggest concerns would be against teams that are almost as fast, but much bigger than us. See this as a win. 32-21, Cougars.
Is it awkward or weird to say "Whose House, Coogs' House!!!" when the opposing team is also named the Cougars.
Same feed I think. But FRS always better. http://firstrownow.eu/watch/215150/2/watch-byu-vs-houston.html
