    Why do people care what Warren Buffett thinks? I've never understood why his opinion is any more special than the average Joe.

    His dad was a stockbroker, founding Buffett-Falk & Co. He was also a U.S. Congressman (who made $10,000/year at least, or $143,000 in 2013 dollars). So he at least had that as a base, which is quite a bit better than nothing.

    here we go....so just because his dad was a guy who made $150k/year warren was supposed to automatically become a multi-billionaire??? You guys are ridiculous, so it's only cool when a poor person becomes a billionaire? Get out of here? Let me know when you get to the level buffett's dad was at 60 years ago, $143,000 in today's dollars.

    I just said that he didn't come from nothing. His dad, at least, had money.
