[Cars] How fast have you driven on a public highway?

Pegged a 1969 Charger 440 at 140 on Interstate 20. It belonged to my High School Speech teacher, and she was in the car. (this was 1970)
I was too dumb to know I coulda gotten laid that night.

168 on ZX10r crotch rocket and 150 in a turbo mustang.

 

Maybe around 100ish. But I had loud music on, probably metal. So it felt like 180.

 

I drive 80-90 daily on 45. Fastest I think I have gone is 105-110 in my old Titan back during the hurricane when everyone evacuated. There was literally nobody on the road.

 

Is there a private highway?

 

That's when I hit almost 160 on the Beltway, literally 6 hours before landfall. There were ZERO people on the roads, it was creepy.

It's also kind of funny to plot the curve of the answers.... it ascends and descends as the speed increases, as you might expect, with a spike at the end.

Topped out my 300zx TT at 155 on I45 when I was 16. I am 27 and have not even come close to those speeds in a long time.
