I hope the Mavs do this. Then they'll know what it feels like to have a starting center that can go down any second with a leg injury.

Funny cause I think the Timberwolves are trying to deal JJ Barea to the Mavs too.

I hope he signs there, then sits out the whole year like he did in Philly.

If they're going after him then he's a Mav. Nothing more to it. Done deal.

I see a one year deal with 1 year team option at about 9 million being fair.

Of course, Bynum is stupid enough to turn something like that down too so...

Desperation, yes. But not to make his team better, but to placate his ego and make a big splash happen where there isnt one.

On second thought, this could be a splash alright, just not the kind that helps his image.

@ESPNSteinLine: Team to watch in chase for Andrew Bynum: Cleveland. Hearing Cavs not only have legit interest but can also make lucrative one-year offer

It is interesting they're looking at centers(Pekovic and now Bynum-I think they were or are pursuing Pek, maybe not.) but I doubt it means anything. They do have Horford and just signed Millsap.

True, but they did also sign Millsap (who will probably play the 4 as well).

Horford is probably only on the block if they get a center who they deem of equal value or on a cheaper contract. If they sign Bynum, they might wait until the deadline to see whether or not Horford is expendable.

Exactly my point...Horford will be on the block if they land either option Pek or Bynum.
