Why not both? If Dwight did come, we could definitely pony up some pieces to get him.

    Harden/Howard <<<<<<<<<<<< Kobe/Nash/MWP/Gasol/Howard

Harden + Howard would play more games on the court together than those four did.

And in some cases, like these, less is more.

Dwight can be our best player, but not necessarily our #1 option. If Dwight does come here, he'd be back to beast mode. He'd be our most dominant player, but perhaps not our best individual scorer. He'd be back to being a top 5-8 player in the L, and Harden stays in the top 8-10 himself.

Lin/Harden/Parsons/InsertPF/Howard much better than the lakers lineup. Small ball with Howard would be perfect.

Mwp sucks and Nash is broken down.

    Dwight/harden > Kobe/gasol

Yes.... I want dwight Howard. LA put him in a lose lose situation. told him to work around Kobe for the whole season

And then expected a championship from the guy, when Kobe goes Down.

We need dwight..... Morey is smart, he knows.

There is nothing wrong with dwight Howard.... He seems like he used to enjoy basketball
( and was at his best)

We can get him back to that.... Rockets and Dwight should fit well next season

How did you expect Dwight to feel? Kobe didn't like him so the whole entire team including coach and GM followed suite. The team goes as Kobe goes. There was absolutely no chemistry on that team and at times felt like a scene from "Mean Girls".

I'm glad it ended poorly. There's still a chance he decides to leave LA.

We literally just went through an entire season where we found that not to be true. But keep doing you, sport.

4 out of the 5 players you named are well past their primes and decline every year...

Imagine Howard finishing pick and roll plays instead of the bumbling Asik....

I never thought I'd see the day people would rather hold onto Asik then have the chance to sign Dwight 'All-Star, All-Defense, and All-NBA' Howard.

As much as I love Asik, Dwight is on another level. If we can get him, we need to do it. We can decide what to do with Asik if we pick up Howard. Keep him or trade him to get our hands a solid PF. A change of scenery to a team with a bunch of fun, young guys in Houston will get him back to playing his best, which is when he's out there smiling.

Being in Houston will take him a little more out of the spotlight too after a month or so, and that'll be good for him. LA was just too much scrutiny, and that whole organization was a disaster this season. It wasn't just Dwight. I would definitely be happy about signing him regardless of what's gone on in the past year and half.

Yup. Remember the last superstar who had a really bad year and a half. He won a championship. LOL!

I'd say no, unless there's no other superstar option available.

My biggest fear is that Howard turns into the big man version of the McGrady fiasco. As a fan, I really don't want to endure that disastrous mixture of drama and injury again.
