If Lin or Beverly gets injured we have no one to help run the point. If Asik gets injured we still have Smith, Ohlbrecht and D-Mo.

Today is the last day to sign someone for the playoff roster. Which centers are available right now? Brooks is still a better shooter than Beverly. In limited minutes:

46 games - Brooks is averaging 8 ppg on 46% FG and 38% from three. Brooks is also much quicker.

18 games - Beverly is averaging 5 ppg on 42.5% FG and 40.5% from three.

Tell me more about the lockdown defenders available right now.

    Beverley > Brooks.

Brooks shouldn't be in the regular rotation unless an injury occurs IMO.

With our rotation, he won't get burn over Beverley, who is a superior defender.

Wow, no one on the team now that Brooks was teammates with. Patterson was the last one. I like the move. He can hit some timely threes for us like Douglas did at times this season.

Debatable, it's not like bev has proved anything. People forget ab was a major player on the best rockets team in a decade. He is fully capable of playing off the bench on this team

this would be a fun lineup

    Brooks PG
    Lin SG
    Harden SF
    Delfino PF
    Parsons Center

We have Brooks and Lin parked at the baseline 3

Delfino and Parsons for 3 pointer between baseline and top of the key area

    And Harden to ISO

Yes I believe that Brooks can be Beverly's mentor... I mean he is still a bit raw as a PG/ball handler, but I foresee Brooks getting ~20-25 minutes a game roughly. He could be a spark plug off the bench along with T-Rob and Delfino... Total depth at its best! :)

I think something like 2 years, $5 million with a team option would be great.

He would be a good 3rd string PG.

I agree, I don't really mind as long as he's never on the court.

I have a different take on the Rockets point guard situation. Harden is one half a point guard. Parsons is one half a point guard. And it looks like D-Mo is one half a point guard in the making. I think a point guard by committee would be interesting, with Beverly handling the second string point guard duties.
