I respect your opinion, but respectfully, I was hooked on Breaking Bad after the pilot. It was that good. Matter of fact, I'd put it up there with some of the great TV shows of all time- The Wire, The Rockford Files, X Files, TZ, etc. As I said, Homeland's very good- and I'm sure I'll watch more episodes from it. But Breaking Bad is in a whole 'nother category- and very similar to films like Pulp Fiction, Apocalypse Now, Taxi Driver, etc. that were acclaimed but a bit too edgy to take the top prize.
