That's really sad. Even the most optimistic fan in this thread isn't as optimistic as Lin. Lin is shooting for playoffs and that means at least 45 games. 35-42 isn't optimistic at all. It's rather pessimistic.

42 games wont make the playoff in Western Conference. If they will win 35-42, might as well tank the season and have a better shot at lottery. The worse result for the Rox is win 42 games and barely miss the playoffs...again!

Definitely delusional, along w/millions of other delusional basketball fans! You and a handful of Lin haters (SAS), are the only ones to see Lin clearly....in the past you would have been institutionalized, now the internet/media facilitates your hatefulness. Lin is not the second coming of anyone, he has and will continue to create his own identity.

Yeah, I really don't get the pessimism on this board. The rockets have had a lot of success, including back to back titles not so long ago, along with teasers such as Yao's run and Pip/Barkley/Clyde.

It's very strange: knicks fans expect to win a championship, rocks fans expect a high lottery pick, and in reality, both teams will probably wind up with the exact same number of wins!
