I think Donatas is like Tony K because they have white skin and are foreign. Lamb is a lot like Harper because he can shoot the ball. Parsons is a lot like Pippen because they are defensive specialist. Then you have Lin who is like Jordan. I didn't really think about it, but now with such an uncanny comparison I think we may win 72 games this year.

I actually think this team can be built like Chicago Bulls more than the Pistons, of course not the Jordon Bulls but the Derrick Rose Bulls. Predicted by overwhelming D, unselfish O with great ball movement, balanced and super deep roster. We already steal their center. Oh well if we only steal their coach as well. McHale isn't bad though.

Guy behind brian grant? Donuts may be all world offensively, but Sheed was a defensive stud and could easily slide over at 6'11 and handle center duties 3. Tayshaun Prince and Parsons you could say are similar you could say so that'll slide 4.Rip Hamilton was a dead eye from inside the arc, he was a pick and pop calvin murphy inside 20 ft killer. He ran off picks all game long and was just a pain in the ass to cover, I hope Lamb can produce like him one day with a high 80% at the line but Lamb can hopefully shoot the 3 like Rip couldn't 5.Billups - you realize billups shot 43% from 3 that year and 90% at the line? Lin shot 32% from 3 last year and 79% at the line....so he's not quite automatic late in a game like chauncey. Billups and Rip were just so efficent, not to mention they led a defense that allowed 84 ppg!!!!! Let's talk bench: Corliss Williamson was the big nasty, a former sixth man of the year winner, Mehmet okur was a blossoming big and lindsey hunter was a nasty pg off the bench with his instant offense ala Jason Terry. Let's not forget vets like Elden Campbell to play solid D down low We're young, and we have tremendous potential and yes I'd love to believe that we end up with a lineup of Ben Wallce(asik) Dirk Nowitzki(donuts) Anthony Mason(royce white) Reggie Miller( lamb) Steve Nash(Lin) with a bench of Tayshaun(parsons) josh smith(Jones) but the reality is, that pistons team was just so well put together with a hall of fame coach, so no we won't be nearing their level anytime soon. Rasheed Wallace at his best was a top 10 player in the league and had some MVP-type performances in individual series or games (although never sustained it for a full season). Lin is an awful defender. Chauncey was one of the better defensive guards of the last decade. MAJOR improvement is needed. Asik is stiffy compared to Big Ben. I like Asik a lot, it's not an insult to him, but Big Ben was a monster, extremely agile. I can't judge Lamb/Rip. I haven't seen enough of Lamb. Parsons/T-Prince. I like Parsons and I hope they reach similar level. They are "defensive minded wings", but different. T-Prince = sticky perimeter defender, real 3 who could defend 2s as well. Parsons is a tweener. It doesn't mean that Parsons can't be as good overall, just different. Overall, it's an interesting comparison. BUT I don't see Asik ever becoming Big Ben, or Donatas becoming as good as Sheed. I'm not going to be as definite with Parsons/Lin, although they are VERY far away, Lin in particular. (and I don't feel like judging Lamb yet, as I said)

Prince has never been an All Star. He was still a kid (ish) in the Pistons' prime years. Later, towards 2007, I'd say he was a marginal All Star, kind of like Gallinari today. I think the other 4 deserved to be All Stars, maybe not all at the same time though.
How is lamb known for his midrange game when he hasn't even played an NBA game yet? Y'all are r****ded.
As long as David Stern is around, no team will ever do what the Pistons did again. If you don't have a face of the league type player on your team, you wan't win a championship.
Some people are seriously ready for a rude awakening come November. This team right now couldn't win 20 games.
I actually think this team could be built like the Pistons, they are not there yet. I can see the middle three of D-Mo, Parsons, and Lamb developing into similar styles as Wallace, Prince and Rip. Now if we some how get lucky and land Nerlens in the draft, he could become the defensive force of Ben Wallace, but that all depends on how the ball bounces.
