The Andy Griffith Show is probably among my 5 or 10 favorite tv shows ever. Andy Taylor was also one of my favorite characters. And, of course, Andy Griffith was one of my favorite entertainers. Seemed like a great guy. I never thought of him as an "entertainer", but rather Andy Taylor from Mayberry. Maybe he's gone to stop Barney from putting a bullet hole in a cloud somewhere. Thank God for re-runs.

I read somewhere that he was buried same day (just hours) after his death. No autopsy? No embalming? WTF?

He was a legend in my book. I am still a young guy and The Andy Griffth show was before my time but for some odd reason i just got addicted to that show. It is still probably one of my favorite shows of all time. The chemistry between Barney and Andy were one of a kind.
