I was there at Rice Stadium when he gave that speech. I remember the hairs on the back of my neck standing up, and chills running down my spine. Jack Kennedy had charisma in spades.

If the GM didn't mention what was said, it can be said that Dwight is being shopped around. He could of put closure on the issue and the Magic is at a point of no return. I don't think they can go back to playing Dwight as a Magic, he basically is turned into a bait for Orlando.

 

Not sure where to put this, but according to Sam Amick the Rockets have talked to teams in the top-10 about deals involving Martin:

As desperate as the Rockets might be for taking a flyer on one year of Dwight, I think it's absolutely pathetic that the Magic are clinging onto him with such hopeless fervor. I cannot envision a future reality in which Dwight stays with that team.

 

Some of you is dumb as rocks. You want Dwight for one year and not Rudy Gay for multiple years.

 

Dwight is leverage for further acquisitions.

I don't see Rudy Gay being the guy that other stars wanna play with.
