My pet peeve is "You welcome". I CANNOT stand people saying "you" instead of "you're".

Correct me if I'm wrong but it is "You're welcome." Right? I mean because I have to second guess myself because I swear about 90% of people say "You welcome".

Don't forget Ur, an important Sumerian city-state in ancient Mesopotamia. ;)

I hate when people type loose instead of lose... Maybe there is just some inside joke behind that I don't know about.

    No, it's not. :)

The correct way to say it is I couldn't care less. If you could care less, then it implies that you do care somewhat. Which is the opposite of the point you're trying to get across.

    -----------------------------------------
    http://incompetech.com/gallimaufry/care_less.html

When one usually states "I could care less", they usually mean "I could not care less". [e.g. "I could care less about linguistics."]

In order for one to "care less" about a subject, they must first care about it somewhat. Saying "I could care less about ... " does indeed imply, nay dictate, that there is some degree of care.

EDIT: Now I realize you may have been joking. If so, sorry for being slow. If not, see above :)

As an aside, why do they always say "G S W" on TV shows? Isn't it faster to say "gunshot wound"?

This thread distracted me while I was at a ATM Machine (i.e. Chase ATM). People behind me got angry. I told them to put things in prospective. Heck, I as well use to get angry easily if I wasn't feeling good.
