Baylor is/was 6'5" tall and weighed 225 lbs when he was in his prime. He shot 43% from the field and was not an efficient scorer. The numbers look good but you gotta look behind them to see if there is any depth to them. Yes, Rodman would have totally shut him down and forced him into the low 30 percent shooting. Baylor just was not an efficient scorer. He was a volume scorer. I would not put him in my top 20 and he'd probably barely make my top 50.
Fair enough. I just thought with my teams floor spacing with CP3, Ray Ray and McAdoo Baylor would be able to get space to operate well. In the end I feel like you have to do something right to average 38 PPG.
It's spelled wrong on the 1st post, so maybe that's what people think it is. Kind of like Dwyane Wade.
This one isn't over. VBG wins this one. Jopat likes to scream and shout like he's an all knowing basketball guru, but he's just a pasty white guy with a hyperbolic opinion. No need to get down VBG, he routinely embarrasses himself in the NBA Dish with the most bold predictions that turn out to be very wrong. Russell is not a joke. Neither is Elgin Baylor, a guy who never got the press he deserved because he was a horribly inefficient scorer, but still a force to be reckoned with. Bernard King on the other hand shot over 50% for his career and was very good at getting to the line. So a lineup of Paul-Allen-Baylor-King-Russell makes for a real blue collar, tough, gritty team with a great off the ball perimeter player in Allen. Allen thrives in that environment. With another tough guy like Artest coming off the bench, one of the best passing big men of all time in Webber, this is a really sexy combination of talent. And as soon as they build some chemistry, it's not going to be easy to score on them down the stretch when things slow down. Fallenphoenix still hasn't waived Iverson, and his inability to understand Iverson is a self destructing presence when he doesn't have a team built around him will lead to a lot of locker room issues. Rodman and Artest on the court at the same time will cause planets to collide. Robinson will embarrass himself when it's time to come up big against a GOAT big man, and Duncan won't be able to pick up the slack. It's a meltdown waiting to happen. VBG Sweeps, 4-0 And should easily go through to the actual semi's.
As much as I would like to win, FallenPhoenix can go on to the next round. It doesn't seem like there are any more judges interested and Fallen is up 3 - 2
No! A poll must be done. This is outrageous! http://bbs.clutchcity.net/showthread.php?t=221068 2 days to decide the winner.
