    Thats the thing about jail. In normal world, you respond to someone crying/begging for help. In jail, you are nothing. People yelling/screaming from their cell is nothing out of the ordinary and not responded to.

    i didnt even know the human body could go that many days without food or water. im guessing he ate a big meal that day, but still amazing.

    i wonder how many people would try this for 2.5 million dollars.

    I'd do it.

    The biggest risk is kidney problem (other than mental problems). Some miners trapped underground went without food/water much longer than him; granted this guy had his hand handcuffed all the time but that shouldn't be a huge difference.
