    I finished Dance with Dragons not long ago (I had to buy an e-book to read the damned heavy edifice!) and you won't be disappointed. It's one of the best in the series, without a doubt.

    Fantastic.

    I loved 1-3, and 5 was certainly better than 4... but I dunno, there were some things about 5 that left me feeling unsatisfied. Maybe it's been too long since I read the others, but I felt like 5 was a lot of sitting around and not doing much. Only parts I really unequivocally enjoyed were the Wall parts.

    I read it in about 10 days, but I can agree to a point. Certain characters, yes. Others, it was quite eventful.

    First three were good. Feast of Crows was absolutely horrible and I had to drag myself through each chapter. I'm finally on the fifth book and it's good again.

    I wouldn't call it horrible, but it was certainly a let down after Storm of Swords. But just about anything would have been.

    I couldn't stand it. I was skimreading through a lot of it. Everyone was just so damned whiny. And even the scenes that seemed like it would build up to something epic... was a let down after. Fifth is so much better already and I'm only 6-7 chapters in.

    Well, this series covers a much larger period of time than Lost did. The first 4 seasons of Lost covered 100 days and seasons 5 and 6 covered 2 weeks. While the first two books of a Song of Ice and Fire take around a year.
