Cool little survey project vote smart came out with. This is the website I use to get most of my information on candidates because I do not trust most of what I hear on the news. Simple yes or no questions with your level of importance on the subject. Seems unbiased towards any candidate from what I can tell. Anyways check it out if you're curious where you stand and don't have time to read up on every issue. http://www.votesmart.org/voteeasy/
Simplistic answers to complex questions? Abortion - It's a hard fought legal battle that has resulted in the workable compromise we have today, it's a personal decision for a woman and her doctor, unless it is declared a crime against a human by a majority of Americans, but it is without a doubt the worst possible birth control choice for fetus, mother, father, doctor and society. Access should to birth control should be as easy and universal as the access to sex. So, which answer do I pick?
Would you vote for a law that lowered the speed limit to 50mph? This would decrease the number of motor deaths significantly every year. Would you agree to a law that made it mandatory to give blood every year? What if this law required you to be strapped up to an iv for 9 months? Abortion is definitely one of the most controversial subject but I think the stance will never change in the USA, and republicans are wasting there time unless they get the issue changed to where it is decided at a state level.
Right, because policy and legislation always depends solely on which candidate originally supports it the most. And candidates never lie about their positions to get elected.
