Though if they made some upgrades to their tech (new engine, or just a huge reworking of current engine), we wouldn't have to wait for next-gen (see other franchises that had massive improvements between titles this generation). But there's no way that would happen. No point in spending 2-3 years on that when 15-20M people will buy the game no matter what (and/or maybe Activision knows the IP will be dead by then anyway).

I really like the game. I'm about 3 or 4 missions in to the single player and it really looks great. Survival mode is basically horde mode (gears of war) with air strikes, so...it's awesome. Multiplayer feels a lot more balanced than MW2. Leveling your weapon/proficiences are pretty cool. Overall if you like Modern Warfare, you'll REALLY like it.

 

What are your favorite killstreaks? Favorite gun so far? Ughhh I can't wait for this game on tuesday.

Killstreaks: So far mostly the same: Uav / pred strike. Haven't gotten to try IMS (5kills) too much, but it seems like a sentry gun. But the 9 kill streaks are very cool. Strafe run has 5 attack helicopters come through and wipe everything. I also really like reaper -- basically you get multiple pred missiles.

Gun: still m16, but it's much more balanced. It no longer dominates every other gun. I haven't gotten to try the really good stuff yet. I'm level 21, some people are well into their 60s.

On second thought after more playing m16 kind of sucks now.
