    line has been better in other places he's played...it's never really mattered.

    line looked hella better in Houston the year after he was gone.

    The Texans drafting him was the worse thing that could happen. He didn't stand a chance with that terrible o-line. After the beating he took, it's not a surprise that he had no confidence going forward.

    This is true. I have no idea how good (or bad) he would have been in better circumstances - but I absolutely, positvley will always believe they ruined that guy. It wasn't just the lack of an offensive line (or surround talent, of which, he had virtually none); it was how often they left him in the game to absorb hit, after hit, after hit.... not just sacks but *hits* - he got hit *a lot*. And out he'd trot again for another series, in another meaningless blow-out...

    To this day, I have no idea what their plan was.

    I use to think that too, and to a certain point there may be some truth to it, but I also think he didn't necessarily have the drive/focus to be better. They say the QB should always be the first one at the facility and last one out and i remember him being ridiculed for being a 9 to 5 type football player...meaning he really didn't put in the additional hours of study.
