Texans lean right?

When it's for 5-10 years at the most, or pro-rated for 10 days at the worst; they actually might be.

 

These are old rich white guys, I'll go ahead and say yeah, they're gonna lean right.

I'm not surprised.

 

The owner leans right, but the players lean left.

 

I don't think most players care one way or another, they're either stressed out of their minds or having the time of their life.

 

These owners ask for public stadiums and then say we can't pay taxes. The republican way.

I find it ironic that these Republican owners are making money under what is essentially a socialistic business model.

Not true. Ever notice how large numbers of players end up living in Texas (one of the most right leaning legislatures in the country)?

Many NFL players also supported the protests in Wisconsin over collective bargaining.

I suspect many NFL players live in Texas because they are from there and / or don't want to pay income taxes. I doubt the Texas legislature has much to do with it except when it comes to income taxes. And yes I will say that it is somewhat hypocritical of Left leaning NFL players to try to avoid paying income taxes.

For me personally though I don't care that much about political beliefs in pro-sports.

 

Ultimately, the only thing Republicans are actually interested in is maintaining the current established hierarchy.
