    I can't think of any reason to hate on the man. Age is just quickly catching up to him, is all. I wish him the best, except when he's against the red astronauts.

    I wonder how his convo with Gay would be like...

    i still cant believe all we traded him for was thabeet and a pick. we could have traded him to chicago for keith bogans. battier would be the PERFECT fit in chicago.

    I would have loved Morey to package Battier and Hayes along with myself to Chicago so I could enjoy a physical defensive minded team and a cool breezy summer.

    He's still a scrub... I hate how people worrie about how much of a role model he was, who cares! Last time I checked role models don't win games,superstars do.

    Battier was well respected in the community of Memphis when he was there. I'm sure he was cool with the trade... Good luck to him.

    Swing defenders are NOT difficult to find. A big man with the potential to absolutely shut down the paint is quite rare. Thabeet was the right trade for that reason alone.
