You thought the social media companies were making a settlement in this case. The "dumbass Biden officials" were the White House press secretary and the White House communications director (the people that speak for the President of the United States). No, the president doesn't have zero power. I provided you the article, you don't have to take my word for it. Also, you betray your lack of understanding of the legal system. Witness statements are evidence. Officials from both Meta and Alphabet gave testimony that they were pressured by the Biden administration. You don't have to provide emails when you testify about direct verbal communications. Once again, just read the article. I know it is hard for you to admit that your precious Biden ever did anything wrong. You notice how I have no trouble saying Trump was wrong to threaten censorship. It's pretty easy to just be honest about how much politicians suck.

The settlement is essentially two politically aligned parties agreeing on a narrative -- Missouri and Louisiana get to say Biden was guilty, Trump gets his EO validated, and nobody had to actually prove anything. No actual fault finding, we're good with the message though, let's move on. That's a political resolution (propaganda), not a legal one.

The FCC situation is something else entirely. A sitting regulator standing at a partisan conference bragging about specific journalists losing their jobs and outlets changing ownership, while holding broadcast licensing power, is explicit and documented. No inference required.

Opposing government interference with speech is absolutely the right principle. But treating these two situations as equivalent flattens a real distinction. One was never proven, the other is being openly celebrated.

LOL yeah those social media companies that gave millions of dollars to the Trump campaign and who's ceos gave hundreds of millions of dollars to the Trump inauguration are claiming without any evidence that they were pressured by the Biden admin. When Joe Rogan asked Mark to provide evidence he backed down and said he'd look for it never did produce anything. They proved zero proof. Zero emails or text messages. Zero call logs but they know low iq individuals would blindly believe them. The WH press secretary doesn't control merger policy. The Doj and ftc does that and you can't find a single statement from either of them.

I dont care what some article claims. Show me evidence that the Doj antitrust department/FTC/FFC threatened companies and I'll happily take your side. I believe in evidence and nothing more.

    You're embarrassing

You forget to mention Bidens FCC chair Jessica Rosenworcel dismissed a left wing petetion to strip foxnews license claiming the FCC shouldn't police speech. Now compare this to what Trumps FCC chair is saying in public and the difference is night and day. Facts don't matter to MAGA @Os Trigonum @StupidMoniker

    There is also this:

Mark Zuckerberg offered to 'help' Elon Musk with DOGE in 2025

In February of that year, Zuckerberg texted Musk approvingly about his work with the now-defunct Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). "Looks like DOGE is making progress," the Meta CEO texted. "I've got our teams on alert to take down content doxxing or threatening the people on your team. Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help."

The texts, which were published Friday in court documents as part of Musk's lawsuit against Sam Altman and OpenAI, are dated February 3, 2025. That's just a few weeks after Zuckerberg announced Meta's pivot away from content moderation in favor of "free expression." It's also the same day that a US Attorney said he would protect DOGE employees from "disgruntled" critics.

I imagine Dana White has a wife who has a secret offshore bank account that she fills on the regular.

Only Trump could screw up immigration numbers that badly. The majority of the country thought he could do that right, then he had masked men shooting people in the face.

I've never been to a presidential library. Why do they need to be so damn big and opulent? They really seem to have jumped the shark. I mean, they did even before Trump, but building a skyscraper really puts the exclamation point on it.

I understand that they are archiving and researching every piece of paper that survives the President and every other artifact that passed through the White House. But really, it's a temple to the president. It is their final desperate grasp at immortality. Can we stop doing this? Let Trump have his and then after that, let's just stop. Digitize the records. Take pictures of the gifts and then auction them off for the general fund. We don't need any more pyramids dedicated to humble public servants.

Funnily enough I was just at the William McKinley library (photo is his tomb, not library).

Its in a gray two story 1960's building just to the left that looks a whole lot like a public library, and doubles as the county historical society HQ.

Everybody always wants do do it bigger and splashier than the guy who came before. They weren't always an over-the-top show of excess.

This is the child pornographer Trump pardoned. If it had been done by any other president, especially when the pardon is sold for money, they would be impeached with a bipartisan majority.
