This team is completely lost if he sees another season as Rockets' head coach. Just a joke of a head coach and person if we're being honest. Not the individual you want representing your franchise.
Ime does nothing to help this team win, nothing. They have no system, no identity, they are lost, that is 100% on the headcoach. DD
I mentioned this the other game...what other coach is constantly trash talking players on the court? We were losing to the Lakers and Ime was literally trash talking some bench player on the Lakers lol
It’s beyond ****ing infuriating that they gave him a ****ing extension this past offseason. Imagine having this idiot on the sideline for the next 6 years. God ****ing damn it
Giannis is just magnifying what this team does right now while also augmenting the same flaws. He rebounds, scores, plays defense and he is a non ball handler, non shooter. He doesn't play like a real Center, he roams around .....incl. on the wings. Can we cord a package to get somebody like Clingan is the true question.
Was Ime the one that didn't want the OG James Harden? If only there was an ex Rockets legend that was dying to come back, averaging 25 PPG on 61 TS%, that could run the offense during crunch time to prevent a 0-15 drought in the clutch. Hmm...
It's gross isn't it? All the hype.... Ime Udoka’s recent six-year contract extension with the Houston Rockets is worth approximately $11 million per season. That’s tied for the fourth-highest number among active NBA head coaches, trailing only Steve Kerr of the Golden State Warriors; Erik Spoelstra of the Miami Heat; and Tyronn Lue of the Los Angeles Lakers. https://rocketswire.usatoday.com/st...udoka-sees-rockets-fully-aligned/87762993007/ The franchise trajectory under Udoka’s leadership is clear, and the commitment from Rockets ownership (led by Tilman and Patrick Fertitta) reflects that. Rockets Wire asked Udoka about the ramifications of his new contract. As part of an extended answer, Udoka said: Me and Rafael (Stone, general manager), from day one, have been on the same page as far as goals and expectations for our team. So, to be extended and be together for the next six years or whatever... we take it year by year, but it’s an honor for me. They entrusted me to be in this role, and we’ve done some good things. https://rocketswire.usatoday.com/st...tract-is-seemingly-for-six-years/86435669007/
Get rid of Ime and Stone. Otherwise, we're having this conversation season after season. Ywo complete idiots
I still cannot believe they did this. There was absolutely no reason to as he still had 2 seasons left on his original deal. Extending him in the 2026 offseason after (presumably) he coached the team to at least one playoff series victory is fine. You don't want a good coach going into the final year of his contract and being a free agent in 2027. But this was a case of the Rockets negotiating against themselves since no one else could sign Ime til 2027. And frankly, I think it was also a matter of management wanting to boast to the league about how smart they felt having hired Ime after the Celtics quickly discarded him. Instead they now look like one of the dumbest organizations in the league and are quickly becoming a laughing stock nationally with so many high profile blowout losses and double digit collapses.
We are so.fuked if ujoker isn't fired. I hate this mofo so much. I've never hated anyone in the nba as much as this pos. Hope he **** titas wife and gets fired
He doesn't know what to do with this Frankenstein roster, and neither would I to be perfectly honest. That's not an excuse for him though. His job is to make it work, to somehow bring them together, and for a while now he hasn't been able to do that. The execution on the court is inexcusable. The turnovers and defensive lapses and shooting slumps are one thing, but as a coach you have to adapt somehow, and he hasn't done that well enough. His motivational tactics aren't working. This just isn't a good team right now, and as much as I like him, Udoka shares some blame in that. I don't know if I want him fired, but I'm not sure I want to keep him either.
And they’re constantly unprepared in Q1, which means they’re always digging out from a hole. That +/- **** is on Ime.
Imay loves wings as he was a small forward himself, they need at least 3-4 quality guards with size and get rid of Tari, Tate, Unc.....a few forwards. Need a balanced roster that can all shoot.
