Randle just went the hack and dared the refs to call it. And they didn't. Might get a moral victory in the last 2 minute report tho
Letting Randle get away with any and everything after Naz got tossed was a massive failure by the refs. The Rockets don't have a (healthy) player on the roster close to his brute strength. It seemed like the refs were trying to make up for Gobert and Naz not playing.
Durant's turnover in the final minute's was even dumber. But you guys keep talking about Sengun anyway, what stupidity.
I am willing to bet these mofos will keep the roster as is for next season and convince themselves that fvv will save ime and the rockets. The core of this team is beyond ****ed, they have no identify.
Jabari kept the rockets in the game with a stretch of scoring and hit couple threes and some defensive stops on reid. This loss wasn’t on him. It was Sheppard, Eason, DFS, mixed in with bad TO’s from Sengun, KD.
Too many missteps and flaws in the Durant plan. 1. trading 2 players for 1 then playing KD as a 2 guard. 2. Thinking Tari or Okogie could fill the starting 3 spot. 3. Keeping Sheppard then playing him major minutes for development purposes when the team supposedly is in phase 3 win now mode 4. Not prioritizing getting a true 1 in the offseason even before fred went down but decided to shore up another wing player due to the brooks trade (DFS) 5. Not getting players that can both drive and shoot. This past offseason didn’t really make much sense leaving us annoyed and resulting in an inferior product on the court
Even if we had deliberately slowed the game down just to run out the clock in overtime after going up by 13, there’s no way that lead would have evaporated.
I agree with most of what you wrote here but the Reed hate is overdone. It's Rafael Stone's fault for giving up on the season and not acquiring another player who can dribble and shoot before the deadline. That leaves Reed as the only guy on the roster with that skillset. He is a developmental player but he's easily the most improved player on the roster this season and has been the best surprise on the roster this year. He has some defensive weaknesses and does make some mistakes. He's in his 2nd season after a really bad first season. Nevertheless, we absolutely need him to start because the rest of the rotation doesn't shoot well enough from outside and is incredibly turnover prone. Direct your anger toward Rafael Stone who led us to the situation- where a developmental point guard has to start and help carry the offense on a team that was supposed to be a contender. Reed has been a pleasant surprise overall in a very disappointing season.
It looks like the wheels fell off when players, playing out of position had to produce from their position. A team full of forwards needing to protect a lead late in the game -> guard play. No one saw this one happening —> it’s just more of the same.
9-12 by my count in games decided by less than 5 points / games that go to overtime. That's on coaching.
This one is not on Sengun, if the team had a half decent PG, the 108-95 lead would suffice for the win. Sengun was hyped, he played very well on both ends. Durant bringing the ball down the court and passing it should be banned. Durant is a great scorer but he is not smart and is no leader. Udoka is way over his head and it is showing. The team is playing like a headless chicken.
Random thought.., baseball has closers Why not let a veteran point guard come in a play the last few minutes of every game. If we don’t win it’s no because of mental breakdowns. —> Rudy used Scottie Brooks
There is one person that has come here in the last 5 years and actually made this team significantly *worse*. Its not Ime. Its not Stone. Its not Sengun.
