Iran was not making nuclear weapons

and even if they were, we totally destroyed their nuclear capabilities months ago according to the regime itself

the obese turd has also said that we’ve won this war several times and that Iran is demolished/devastated/destroyed

So why are we sending a bunch of troops there and spreading our cheeks with this “peace” deal?

    Wtf are we doing?

Unfortunately there is none, he thinks he’s clever in manipulating the markets and lulling the enemy into a false sense of security like when this started and last year with midnight hammer .

We have the most incompetent people in charge

JCPOA didn't lift sanctions right away. It was a gradual lifting of sanctions over years so in reality this deal is much much worse than Obama's deal. This deal will make the Iranian regime filthy right away. Unbelievable

It kills me to remember the line of “you get the leadership you deserve.” There have to be fundamental changes if we get through this to make sure we limit Executive Branch power, no matter what party is in control. It’s ****ing awful. Also, people need to get off their ass and ****ing vote. The part of the population that hates this but can’t be bothered to vote is so incredibly complicit in the potential fall of the Republic

Jesus, what a clown. I'm so embarased for America. Just like "all those presidents" wishing they'd been "brave" enough to do what he did in Iran but whom he couldn't name because.... reasons.

He's always barely tried to come up with plausable lies, but at this point he's really phoning it in when he talks about all the "great things" that are happening but that he just can't tell you about. You can just smell the stink of panic he radiates every time he talks.

If you believe anything coming from out of his mouth you are dumber than a box of rocks or you care more about protecting his very fake projected image of competence than you do being truthful with yourself.

    That’s hilarious.

It’s almost as though he doesn’t fund a Farsi news channel that day and night promotes installing a Zionist as the king of Iran.

    Gimme a break.

Another reporter asked if the US would control Hormuz after the war, Trump said, “We’ll have control of anything we want.”

I wonder how Iran responds to that statement. He might have just killed any hope of an agreement by that statement.

    https://www.houstonchronicle.com/bu...attis-texas-iran-hormuz-ceraweek-22093831.php

America doesn’t have many good options in its war with Iran, according to James Mattis, former defense secretary and retired Marine Corps general who spoke Monday in Houston at the CERAWeek by S&P Global conference.

He used the Texas coastline to explain why.

To escort ships through the Strait of Hormuz, as the Trump administration previously suggested, Mattis said the U.S. military would have to protect ships more than twice the length of Texas’ coastline – roughly 600 miles down the Persian Gulf, 100 miles through the Strait itself, and then far beyond missiles’ reach through the Gulf of Oman.

For comparison, the Texas coastline is 367 miles.

“Think of doing this over a coastline much longer than the Texas coastline on the Gulf: it is a big area,” Mattis said.

What’s more, Iran has stockpiles of missiles that can be fired at ships from the backs of trucks and travel 100 miles to their targets. Imagine trying to find and stop someone standing in the back of their truck in Houston from targeting one of the refineries in Port Arthur, Mattis said.

Mattis’ comments illustrate the challenges facing President Donald Trump as he tries to ease tension in the Strait of Hormuz, where bottlenecking from the conflict is driving up oil prices. Mattis, who served under Trump during his first term, led the U.S. war efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan and served in the U.S. Marine Corps for more than 40 years.

“We're in a tough spot, ladies and gentlemen, and I can't identify a lot of good options,” Mattis said.

Thousands of U.S. Marines and sailors were headed to the Middle East Tuesday. The Trump administration is also considering deploying soldiers from the 82nd Airborne Brigade, the U.S. Army’s quick reaction force, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal.

Possible options for lightening the war’s impact on the global energy industry have been for the U.S. to escort ships through the Strait of Hormuz and to take Kharg Island, where Iran houses critical energy infrastructure and defense capabilities. Losing Kharg Island would cut off a crucial source of revenue and fuel for Iranians.

Taking Kharg Island – which U.S. forces could do, Mattis said – would require a long-term presence. It also wouldn’t change much for a regime that is willing to hurt its own people in order to win the war, he said.

Just to get ships through the strait, the U.S. would need “an unblinking eye in the sky” and aircraft “ready at all times” to avoid missile launchers that could appear as quickly as it takes to throw a tarp off the bed of a pickup truck, Mattis said.

“That gives you an idea of how difficult this will be for the U.S. Navy to try and protect ships in that shipping lane,” he said.

The U.S. has put itself in a tough spot, he said, with possible outcomes including mass casualties in Iran or relinquishing longterm, total control of the strait to Iran.

“Don’t fight forts with ships,” Mattis said. “It’s like, Naval Warfare 101.”

This is so utterly embarrassing.... This may be more embarrassing than the rockets losing to the bulls.

you can’t negotiate with the Dipsh*t in Chief and the rest of his buffoonish henchmen…they’re incompetent beyond belief, and they’re all compromised by Israel and Netanyahu anyways

seems like Iran and the rest of the world is just waiting for Trump to finally die or for Democrats to regain power, whichever happens 1st

but the United States will never be trusted again because of what this regime has done, so long term, we are beyond fcked on the global stage

China is quickly becoming the new super power, and they didn’t even have to lift a finger…we destroyed ourselves

I know somebody that is pretty pro China. We get into arguments all the time, as I do believe China is one of the bad actors in the world and a pretty immoral society (yes I know hard to talk now)

this individual literally told me Trump was a gift from god and he had always heard of a messiah that was going to take the stage in the US…

He just never knew this messiah was going to bring our downfall.

Is MAGA going to block the recovery of the ill gotten gains from the felons when all is said and done and the crimes are exposed? Or are they going to go full J6, stick their heads in the sand, and repeat the ficticious but emotionally comforting false narriative over and over and over and over?

Or maybe they're so confident of fixing the Presidential elections going forward that they believe they are beyond the law?

“Shapiro is betting that there’s still room in his party for a more nuanced approach and that Democratic voters — as the governor runs for reelection this year and tests the waters for a potential White House bid — have an appetite for a measured leader with a centrist view on Israel.”

I was told that if we doubted that we had obliterated their nuclear capabilities in July I was fake news. I’ll hang up and listen.
