The more that I've seen of Oscar Delp the more I believe we should grab him in the 3rd round (our 4th pick).
The Texans traded for 24 year old Kai Kroeger from the Saints who is making the league minimum, has no guaranteed money or dead money on his contract. If your not adding a Punter to your mock drafts, you should. There will competition at Punter in training camp most likely coming from the draft.
Exactly, if you're going to be a running team you need to have at least 3 RB's, you really need 4. I would draft one early and one later. Then let Jordan and the 2 rookies fight it out for 2 roster spots. Competition should bring out the best in all of the RB's.
I'm out on DT Zane Durant. He lacks the power you need to succeed on the inside. He's built like Kalijah Kancey but lacks the speed and power. He's an easy handle for most interior offensive lineman and is a nonfactor on the majority of plays.
I like Hecht alot. Slaughter probably would be an upgrade too. Although I'm uncomfortable with a rookie starting C. Not everybody can step in and start at C as a rookie like Linderbaum. More turnout like Scruggs and bust.
Current Mock Trade 1-28 to DET for 2-50 + 2027 2nd 2-38 Edge Malachi Lawrence (UCF) 2-50 LB Anthony Hill Jr. (TX) 2-59 IOL Jennings Dunker (IA) or IOL Keylan Rutledge (GT) 3-59 TE Sam Roush (STF) 4-106 IDL Jordan Van Den Burg (GT) 5-141 DB Traydon Stukes (AZ) 5-167 RB Adam Randall (CLEM) or Seth McGowan (KY) 7-243 WR Tyren Montgomery (JCU)
Texans have 6 Tight Ends (Schultz, Stover, Moreau, Jordan, Lachey, & Pryor) on the roster and 4 Centers (Brown, Patterson, Andrews, Cox).Do we need more competition at those positions?
Is that at my post? b/c I didn't say draft a center/// I said IOL (we need depth) At TE.... how many of the current TEs scream in-line blocking to you?
Jordan is a threat - when he's healthy. Schultz is decent. The rest are impotent. We need a WEAPON at TE.
I like Trigg as a Red Zone weapon. He's good with jump balls, boxing defenders out, and beating linebackers with seam routes.
