Damn right! It only took 24,000 casualties to take Iwo Jima. which is a massive 8.1 square miles. Kharg will be much easier as it is only 7.7 square miles.

Back in the early days of the Iraq War, you knew the claim that they had WMD was BS because we massed a bunch of troops on the border before the invasion. If Iraq did have WMD, the smart move would have been to deploy them then, when you had a bunch of Americans gathered up. But that didn't happen because they didn't have WMD. I don't think the Pentagon planners would have bunched so many resources together if they did not have confidence that the concern about WMDs was overblown.

If we mass some troops in, say, Kuwait for an amphibious assault or something, I don't think we can expect the same results from Iran.

 

It reminds me of Hitler in his last days crazily barking out stupid orders or plans.

 

The stable genius is funding a war against itself by lifting sanctions against Iran in the middle of a war to the tune of $14 billion.

Sounds like abetting an enemy to me. Treason.

 

They've only sent Marine amphibious operations forces to the staging areas, so they'll damm well figure out how to send ships in to the strait if they reallly decide to go.
