He's probably pissed that he plays the vast majority of his minutes with a guy that defenses don't defend at all ..... which causes more double teams on him.

 

The issue is that was never going to work in the playoffs.

I love peeling the psychological onion - and would add the following subtext...

I do not believe KD came here to play 40 mins a night and lead this team... I think it was sold to him as "we got all the other pieces - we just need a closer. We got 3 centers so u dont have to bang down low... we got FVV to run the offense so u dont have to facilitate... we're looking for u to play around 30-32 mins and be part of the ensemble cast... just hangout on the perimeter, take your open shots - and carry us across the finish lines on close games..."

KD is "cool... im 37 and slowing down... id love to prolong my career and help mentor the kids..."

Then he's standing on the floor for 40 mins a night with the weight of the team on his shoulders... nothing but kids on the floor with him... no fvv, no adams... just a bunch of kids that dont even know to slash to him if he has to pickup his dribble on a double team... lol

idk what his opinion of Ime is... but if its anything like the general vibe i get on CF... thats gotta be frustrating...

He invested in Bari - and at the time, bari was still making a bunch of bonehead plays... prob frustrating not going off on him - esp given how sharp-tongued KD is.. and he ends up venting in a tweet that he thought would go under the radar...

He's watching Alpi taking bad shots bc he's all in his head about playing Jokic and not wanting to be baby anything... and KD wants to close-out - since thats the whole reason he was here in the first place... young un trying to assert himself - and a legend wanting respect...

I think KD wants the ball when the game is on the line - after all... he's Kevin fkn Durant and thats what he came here to do... the rest of the time, he'd rather other guys just took care of business...

idk... we watched that game plan take OKC to double overtime to start the season... sooooo.... id have to say it was playoff caliber...

and id say we've been a shell of ourselves since losing Steven... identity, toughness...

but i guess we'll never know...

Double big wasn't ever a winning strategy in the playoffs.

We need shooters - the only 2 above average shooters we have drafted are Reed and Bari, everyone else is a reach as a shooter.

Sengun has panned out but the rest are below average......at least Amen can still impact games.

We should have adjusted the offense once KD got here to get everyone involved but IME is incapable of coaching basketball, so....

How is Ime known as anything in his one year of coaching prior to the Rockets - I know him as the guy who won coach of the year & then was fired when he couldn't keep it in his pants.

I will sum things up for you. We have a man name Kevin Durant who has this addiction to social media and can't help but talking trash on his teammates. We have his teammates who got talk trash about but know what was said is true which makes things awkward. Then those players can't suck it up and realize that the "chemistry" should come from that a lot of them get paid what can literally fill up a moving truck with straight cash. This is what happens when you have weak minded players, which the exception of a few, who let what other people say dictate how they play.

Players like Kevin Garnett would have verbally destroyed them and made them cry.

it doesn't matter if they have weak minded players. why do you think people call Kevin Dickerson a snake? Because this dude talks behind people's backs. He got ZERO balls to say it in front of their face.

Kevin Garnett would say it straight to their face because he didn't give a fug. You also forget Kevin Garnett plays both end of the court. Dickerson can no longer play good defense.
