Tilman is being a good owner - Staying out of his basketball management teams way and allowed them to go into the luxury tax - in a "maybe not our year" Find something else to be mad about.
The fact that people actually believed all that is... well I guess the fact that most stadiums are publicly funded and revenues are privatized do show the regular person really do believe Billionaires are actually poor.
I know you are joking. I'm just saying that your post reminded me that there are a lot of fans who think they should be saving money for the owners. And someone can actually believe you. Also you never responded to my post about Tilman being a cheapass. He can't possibly love the Rockets that much if he's not willing to spend money to make them better.
It is the other way around, Stone has been punching his card and leaving work early like always. Tilman is doing his ambassador thing in Italy.......question is why is Patrick so quiet? Nepo baby looks like an outspoken man. Patrick Schwarzenegger is giving interviews left and right.
Really tho. Some of these folks have no idea or have forgotten what having a **** owner is REALLY like. An owner that truly doesn’t give a **** about the team, the fans, his employees and as it turns out you can add racist and misogynistic to his resume. Mr Robert Sarver. I moved to the valley of the sun the same year Sarver bought the team. Even when they were chip competitive they never got above 7th in payroll and he was a Notoriously cheap, hands on interventionist b*stard. Tillman at least stays out of it and spends when it makes sense.(4th in payroll this year) I have no idea why people conveniently forget being a hamstring and a crooked ref away from seeing the Finals and probably having our third chip. He’s done what he’s needed when it makes sense. It could ALWAYS be worse. We could be the ****ing Nets, Hawks or Kings…….
I was surprised to read that the rockets have sold out every home game. That doesn’t jive with the broadcasts I’ve been watching. Guess the empty seats are corporate or resale?
You’re a pathetic schill for the team. Will never forget your mocking me for wanting Silas gone and now you’re on the Stone and Fertitta love affair. Worst poster on the site and ALWAYS wrong. People rag on DD, but he’s at least right some of the time vs your takes which are wrong 100% of the time.
Lacob, Mickey Arizon, the Celtics Conglomerate Group......the Thunder owner is a tad poor but he makes it up with sheer passion All have been decent to good.
Hopefully making sure the Orange messiah doesn’t start dropping bombs on Italy since he wants to bomb everywhere else in the world. Where is Patrick is the better question. Stone is really only there to teach him all of the wrong things about how to run an nba franchise.
I wouldn’t be shocked if Tillman in the next couple years sells off a portion of the team to another oligarch to free up some cash. I’m assuming Tillman spent more than some countries entire GDP to buy that Vegas center strip lot only to decide to make it a parking lot for now because of the recent Vegas disasters that are Resorts World and Fountaine Blue. Selling 49% of the rockets would probably be a quick easy way to free up a billion + in cash.
As with any business, I think an owner put people in place who he FEELS as though he can trust and who is qualified, however if that business begins to fail, as a GOOD owner, you need to step in! THE SAME WAY CAL AND HANNAH DID WITH B O'B AND ESTERBY......This compares favorably to the Texan's disasterous period! 1) Stone's recent mishaps (Signing DFS to a 3yr contract, drafting Reed at #3, not making any moves during the Trade Deadline and stating "IT'S NOT OUR YR) 2) KD voicing his opinion against Alpi and Jabari. 3) Ime's recent poor coaching All of this constitutes an owner stepping in to try an rectify the ship....DON'T YOU THINK?
And you really think now, in the middle of the season is the right time for an owner to come in and make sweeping changes? That's offseason stuff .... As for your complaints: I'd still take Reed #3 I don't care about Twitter or what KD might have said. I wouldn't have made a trade at the deadline if it cost me a #1 pick either, which it likely did to move off of DFS when other teams were offering expiring contracts. Better to do nothing than pay a premium for something that doesn't move the needle. Yeah, Ime needs to go. Again, offseason issue.
