His haters here are pretty ironic because Harden was a horrible leader when he was here too.

    FFS......here is the more.

    1. BEING A GOOD TEAMMATE and not tossing them under the bus by being a little b****.
    2. When you turn it over, get back on D, stop b****ing at others when they don't do it, as you don't do it.
    3. If you are bad at something - STOP TRYING TO DO IT over and over again - notice your weaknesses and move away from them.
    4. Support your younger players, by pumping them up and helping them be successful.
    5. When a teammate is beaten and you are under the basket step up to stop the ball, don't just let them lay it up uncontested.
    6. BE A LEADER, not an whiny b****.

KD could be amazing on this team, but he and IME's dumbassery are in the way.

From a 37 year old veteran with 18 years in the league? A little maturity and leadership.

His play is fine, his attitude is toxic. It's nothing new though, this is exactly why he's on his 4th team in 7 years.

Seems to me the last 3 teams centered their title aspirations around acquiring KD.. This statement makes it seem like they were unloading him just to get rid of him , which would be false.. Maybe after next year, it would finally be the case.. I can't see a team going all-in to be "the guy" after we crash and burn..

Typical box score watcher comment. He should quit blaming his teammates for his f*ckups, quit demanding the ball at the half-court line. Learn to pass and to be aggressive catching the ball. In general, quit being a b*tch.

He doing ok. Maybe more outside shooting.

At 37 he should not be playing star role anymore like he the goto guy. Obviously rockets 2 goto guys are Amen and Sengun.

He needs to be outside around the lane looking for open shots on cuts. open shots created for him to shoot the ball.

Run plays for him to get open shots either 3pt, or 2pts.

Amen and Sengun have had the ball plenty. I don't think those two have been starved.

Reed usage gone up as well in FVV's absence. If one argue more plays for Bari, I'm ok with that. That's more of a team thing than a specific KD thing.

It is whatever, Rocket's remaining schedule is easier than Wolves/ Lakers / Nuggets, so hopefully some incremental chemistry building and rack up some new wins.

At his age and turnover history before Houston, I think production wise the rockets are getting all and some from KD.

The biggest issue I think is him being able to really speak up to Ime and tell him to change his approach and move him off the ball getting it later in the shot clock and allowing Reed and Amen to facilitate the offense even if it’s ugly at times.

Part of being a leader is knowing when to push others to take a larger role for the betterment of the team and speaking truth to power.

Our players have developed Durant Dependency Syndrome, and so have the fans.

He's giving us exactly what we expected from him. Even more, I'd say. But because the team has come to revolve around him, we look at him as though he's supposed to cure everything. He won't. And the stuff he's doing badly is stuff he's always been bad at.

The problem is that we don't have enough talent, effort, and discipline around him. Especially the effort and discipline. That's where we're missing Fred and Dillon. And I think we're missing the hunger our guys played with last year.

    I
don’t buy the talent and effort comment. Maybe the discipline. KD is what he has always been and that makes him a bad fit for this team. We needed a closer not a ball hog team crusher.

Yeah, when I say talent I'm thinking of Amen's shooting, Reed's defense, Jabari's ball handling, etc. You could argue that's less of a problem than how our guys and coaches do or don't use the talent we have. Tari's a classic case of talent and effort poorly harnessed by the player himself.

The thing that has galled me all year is the games where you can clearly see the other team's players caring more, working harder, and getting to the loose balls. Last year that was us.

You can't teach an old dog new tricks.

Durant is 37 years old. He is who he's always been.

He never was a point guard or someone that could facilitate an offense, which is why he always needed a high level point guard alongside him (Westbrook, Curry, Irving, Harden etc.). Forcing him to be play initiator when that has never been his game is like forcing CP3 to exclusively operate in the low post. It's not his game.

He was brought in to be a closer for a team that had everything to compete but just needed SOMEONE who could score in the halfcourt. The problem has been the injuries and the fact that almost every core piece from the team last year has regressed.

KD has been BETTER than advertised, for Chrissakes. We don't have the coach or players (obviously missing FVV) around him. He's been asked to do too much and play way too many minutes. Slim Reapa's only missed two games?!?!
He was always gonna be a hired gun/closer...with attitude.
    So, quit crying!

He is one of the most unlikable players ever, who is of course buddies with the most disgusting piece of **** coach of all time. Anyone who has remotely followed the nba for the last decade can tell you he is an absolute cancer. As usual though this too somehow come as a surprise for clutchfans

With all that said, he has proven that he can be a part of elite teams if you fill the roster with enough talent. We didnt do that and instead we gave up on the season half way in over a couple of mid roleplayers

Jabari, reed, and Amen have not regressed. This is a system problem not a player problem.

I think KD has been trying to be a good mentor and help the yung -uns - but they keep sh**ing the bed...

then KD gets frustrated... thats where the Dickerson comments came from...

and ultimately, he figures "Fk it - ill do it my own damn self!"

i aint saying KD is the greatest guy in the world... and he makes mistakes... but some folks expectations are just outta whack....

the part that really blows my mind is that folks are harping on KD - while they excused Hard-ons raging narcissism...

The PLAYERS haven't developed Durant Developoment syndrome - but IME has.

AND THAT is the biggest problem.
