is it? "The Houston Rockets are the only team to win the NBA championship as the No. 6 seed. They finished behind the Spurs, Suns, Jazz, SuperSonics and Lakers in the Western Conference in the 1995–96 season. The Rockets went 47-35 in the regular season, winning 25 games at home and 22 on the road. They faced the Utah Jazz in the first round of the playoffs. After falling behind 2-1 in the series, Houston rallied to win the next two games and advance with a 3-2 series victory. They had an even worse start in the Western Conference semifinals. After dropping three of the first four games against the Phoenix Suns, the Rockets pulled off a comeback, winning the next three to take the series. In the Western Conference finals, the Rockets won the first two games against the San Antonio Spurs. But the Spurs answered with two wins to even the series. Hakeem Olajuwon, the No. 1 overall pick in the 1984 draft, wasn’t ready to go home. He dropped 42 and 39 points in the next two games to carry Houston to the 1995 NBA Finals. The No. 1 seed from the East, the Orlando Magic, proved no match for the Rockets. Olajuwon and company swept them 4-0 to defend their title and keep the Larry O’Brien Trophy in Houston. The Rockets also reached the 1981 NBA Finals as a No. 6 seed but fell short. Fourteen years later, they were back in the same spot — and this time they finished the job."
yes, you can win if you have Dream, no matter your playoff seed. KD is a great player. KD is no Dream
Cuban and other front office champions have come out and admitted being in the middle is the worsr place it’s why teams tank
perhaps... but prior to his recent downturn, i would think most would consider Alpi at #16 (the "treadmill of mediocrity pick") to be a better player than any of our lottery selections.... i never like purposefully tanking... but tanking and then trading those high picks for known commodities (battier rather than Gay) i like more than gambling on the lottery...
Yes, but you can set a screen to free him to get there, if the GS Warriors can win with a system so can the Rockets. I don't think Sengun is Hakeem but he is far and away the best hub we have until Reed gets his handles completely down. DD
We do if it falls between 1-4, but that would be a huge long shot unless you send your superstar to the Lakers
a few times this year, after bad turnover games, KD dials it in and limits them in the following games... im expecting no more than 2 turnovers by him tonight.... fingers crossed! edit - wrong thread....
and i think they also charged him with the to for stepping on the line after the bad pass from Reed...
Reed hasn't been great but he doesn't get trapped, and throw it away, nor does he stand at the top gumming up everyone else. KD could be so good if he would just get out of the way and be a finisher, he is far too slow to be a creator anymore. DD
we've already identified both of his 2 turnovers... and hes only taken 5 shots... make that 6 with the dunk - the same # reed has taken.... kd 10 points reed 6 kd 3 assts reed 1 kd 4 reb reed 0 kd 2 tov reed 3
