This dude gives up countless turnovers every game that lead to fast break points. Other times he just refuses to switch and move his feet on D The worst part? Most of these can be avoided, but he insists on trying to score on double or triple teams when he has teammates open I have been pretty quiet on my criticism of him but this is so blatant every game and we can't expect coach to say anything with his favoritism
What do you actually like of this franchise, besides giving Sheppard 45 minutes a game for "development"?
by the way, I posted this in the 1st half or the 3rd Q. That was the most disgusting display of ball I have seen as a rockets fan...and that says ALOT having seen this entire dogshit of a season. He can eff off to sactown or whatever this guy is such a selfish c u n t
He doesn’t care about the team, he’s made that known and he plays like it. He doesn’t bleed red so get him the f*** off my team.
KD isn't the problem, its Ime and his insistence on making KD initiate the offense - All season long he's had Reed and Amen defer to KD (or Sengun) out top of the 3 point line and double teams have occurred sometimes before they get the ball, instead of allowing Reed to dictate the offense and generate shots off of his gravity and pick and roll sets. It's all on I-don't-need-no-damn-point-guard-Ime-give-me-another-wing-who-can't-dribble-or-pass.
The list of players his age who could be the best player on a title team in nba history has exactly zero names on it. He had exceeded any possible expectations that anyone could have for him. The rockets path to being a fringe contender was: 1. Excellent health (obviously that ended before the season even started, but also adams) 2. Solid progress from the young guys (amen and sengun have regressed, reed improved)
Yeah. people complain that KD changed the timeline - that's false other than to say he gave them a punchers chance if everything went right - It didn't. It broke before it got started. Then Stone and Ime doubled down on Reed & Amen instead of adding a playmaker. The timeline has and always is the improvement of Sengun, Amen, Jabari and Reed. That's what the future was / is all about. Amen and Sengun went backwards, Jabari improved a little and Reed has had a decent improvement - still a long way to go. With or without KD, this squad is going nowhere at all if one or more of those four players doesn't make the leap to superstar. The fact that Ime and this cast of misfits can't figure out how to move around and beat a doubled team on KD 4 on 3 boggles my mind. Everyone standing around waiting for someone else to cut / move / set a pick / DO Something! Just no movement, thought or imagination in this trainwreck of an offense, looks like they each have an IQ of about 50. "Duh! what do I do George?" ...... Wait right here, here it comes! KD was just a way to get off of Jalen's contract for the most part. It was also admitting they made a mistake with that extension - I just hope they do the same this offseason with some of the dead weight on the roster. I'm looking at you DFS.
Y'all can pick and choose whom u like the least. My list Tilman and Patty Rafa 'not our year' Stone Ime and Dickerson ex aequo Dorian Finney Part of medical staff/Scouting and Development Any other year it would be Stone but Tilman's disappearing act is nasty.
What's an owner supposed to do other than stay out of his GM's way? Y'all pick some crazy stuff to be mad about.
OK, but if you're not also giving blame to Udoka, Stone, Eason, Sengun, Jabari, Reed, you're off base. I can't really jive with these singular issue threads when the whole thing is rotten from the top. Just last offseason some folks here wanted to build statues for Stone and I don't think the fanbase has directed enough ire his way. Whether you don't like Udoka's monotone coaching, Durant ball handling like a baby deer, or the guys we drafted, that all comes from the same source: GM. I've seen enough this season to see that Durant can be defensively engaged and can be effective, but the lockerroom is breaking down. As an aging veteran with a temperamental attitude this deeply flawed roster is tailor made to bring out all of his neuroticism. W-L record is actually amazing because it doesn't make sense based on how fundamentally bad they are as a team.
Fire those whose days are numbered, namely Stone......engage more with ur workers and see what is missing on Offense. Ruffle Udoker's feathers, he clearly has problems closing out games/initiating crunch Offense and is too stubborn to see it. The Owner has to at least be notified what is going on with the organization, this Time line isn't working right now, paying Fred 25-30+ million isn't great either.
Stone is responsible he should fix it.....he is IME's boss sit Ime down and say we are hiring someone else to help with offense - you can stay head coach, or you can be fired. DD
