Any chance at salvaging the season ended at the deadline Ime is not going to magically improve down the stretch. He is a stubborn dumbass that surrounded himself with handpicked yesmen
Okay, so at the deadline Stone says let's hold our cards because maybe this just isn't our year - this is just a development year for Amen and Reed. Fine, whatever. But then why is KD playing PG in crunch time? Maybe Ime feels that's our best chance of winning. But why is he prioritizing winning when Stone didn't at the deadline?
Nah, youth basketball, but honestly coaching isn't hard, most coaches are stupid, or just watch, they don't really pay attention to the little details that give you an edge. Ime is a watcher. Kerr is a coach. DD
I honestly don’t understand the infatuation about Cole. He flat out sucks. Also, agree on “we’re in the thicket of it” - the thicket of mediocrity.
This isn't all on Ime Udoka. The coach is stubborn - the roster is poorly constructed - there are injuries and OKC and SA are just better than the Rockets across the board.
Wait...Fred will be back this year? Is that what you're saying? I'm really good with that, but just wanna make sure I'm understanding you correctly.
I actually agree with what you're saying, this is basic ****. I'm not even American and we got taught basic offense and what to do out of a double team. I'm actually stunned how lost we look sometimes, like I get these are some of the best players in the world on D, but they're ****ing NBA players, they shouldn't look like they still need to learn the super simple basic "How to basketball" stuff, surely? It's not even just the double teams, there's been so many things since Harden left tbh where it's like how do they not know the other options they have out of a P&R so they only run the identical movement damn near every time, badly? (Which defeats the point if there's no reads being made we never create the mismatches we're supposed to create, as you and every one else who ever played in organised ball from I'd guess later than like 11 years old? Just trying to think back) It's weird to see, I didn't think it should be possible for the best league in the world have so many players who seem completely stuck on some of the basic things they drill into you until it becomes second nature...
Kd has never been a great passer, and we don't have good pg. Players win games can't keep blaming the coach
Any professional student of the game would've made an adjustment after 2 turnovers in a row, much less 15 in a row with an 8 sec and a backcourt violation sprinkled in.
Fair, but trying to run point through KD for every single possession in theb4th when it’s a disaster is on him (and selfish ass Dickerson)
He’s had a whole offseason to prep for this - and now another almost full season … he thinks the 4 on 3 works to his advantage yet he doesn’t have talented enough finishers in the correct positions
Dadakota if you think it is so easy why don't you go coach a young league somewhere. Maybe you can take them all the way! lol
Players do win games. Hopefully because they are giving a chance too. The coach is the one that place players in the position to win. Coach loose games all the time. Sadly Ime has not adjusted to anything through out the season. POP’s coaching was built on fundamentals, leadership, and consistency with the ability to adapt to win. Ime is consistent but not in a positive way. He HAD leadership but in a negative manner (big me little you). He lacks the fundamentals and the ability to adjust for the win. How would you rank him against the rest of Pop’s lineage?
