KD has been an incredible *scorer* when the situation is right. Has been dogshit literally everywhere else.
Not true, we could have asked for him to not derail the offense trying to go Iso against double and triple teams. We could have asked for him to not turn it over 7 times. We could have asked for him to make his open 3's.
Durant's mid range jump shot is MONEY and everything we could want from his position. He has been great in that regard. But as good as that has been, his overall impact on the team is negligible. Not all his fault. Obviously plenty of blame to go around, but what is frustrating is the complete and total lack of adaptation from the organization at every level to mitigate it. Stone should be fired for this roster. Udoka can only work with what he has been given, but his stubbornness might cost him too. It's just a train wreck all around. The turnovers are unacceptable. FIX IT!
Aside from the obvious court issues, he is the opposite of everything that a vet should provide. You can easily see that even in that 'it's all on me' thing.
You guys are all complaining about KD like he isn't going to turn up mysteriously injured in a week or two. Once he passes Michael Jordan, he has nothing left to play for in this season. Its not like he is doing this because he wants to bring a title to Houston - this is about KD's scoring quest and not much else. It's just crazy that our GM brought that guy into the team apparently unaware that we are just here to serve KD's personal goals.
No, but he is going to continue to decline, which means we should be developing someone to take over. DD
We are developing someone on the other team to take over because every time they double him, the other team gets the ball.
Why do we act like we couldn’t have traded Green for someone else down the road? KD was a bad move. His ego is too large whether he’s aware of it or not.
Maybe he'll do us a solid and ask for a trade once we become eligible for the early booking promotion for Cancun. Jalen shet the bed for 6 games. Dillon was a dog. This dude exposes us to his toxic negativity in every play.
Went from "never been this open in my career", to being double and triple teamed as soon as he sniffs the ball. I blame Ime. Any other competent coach would know how to use the players hes got to maximize KD. He didn't even start developing Reed until recently..a whole year and a half too late. And still keeps pulling him in favor of defensive guys. Wtf does he expect would happen!?
It's not necessarily about having Green over Durant, it's about keeping the powder dry until a better trade for an actual #1 guy materializes down the road and retaining your assets for that. Green + Brooks + #10 will be worth more than KD within 1-2 years.
