No counter for the KD blitz

This concept should work because the defense selling out to stop KD should put the Rockets two passes away from a great shot: Either a dunk, layup or open corner-3. But when KD holds on to the ball and dribbles back to the half-court line when 2-3 guys just look at him funny, he even can't get off a pass to someone at the FT line.

 

KD acts like every double is the first he's ever seen. He's only been successful next to an elite PG, without one he looks like this.

 

Oh well… accept the outcome (likely a first round exit) and run it back next season healthy.

They're supposed to be the polar opposites of us. Elite offensive team with a horrible defense. But we still got shut down. I guess it's easier to win with a dismal defense than a dismal offense. We were just straight up disgusting in the 4th.

I have scoured all the nba teams. I can’t see a single team that would trade for him without sending back an albatross contract. I am devoid of hope for this team until Ime is gone. Another coach MIGHT be able to find a way to use Durant more appropriately.

There aren’t any and we ain’t getting a pick. We might could get Harden for him if we added a pick. We’d have one less year of contract for Harden. Miami might give you Wiggins and filler.

 

The thing is that there is nothing that Ime can do because the roster construction is flawed. When KD is blitzed, the other 4 players on the floor can't shoot if their life depended on it
