To me, that's why pairing him w/KD would've been beneficial. KD would've guided him the way he has helped Jabari. I can see Jabari's game manifesting. Young players need to learn the finer points of the game. FVV is not a natural scorer, he's a PG.
Except he sucks at penetrating the lane and getting assists. I will hand it to him. He can walk it up the floor and dribble around the perimeter as well as anybody in the sport. Would have been great in the 4 corner offense with no shot clock.
All the talk of Jalen needing a "1A scorer / playmaker type", who also has strong "professional" approach alongside him to "guide" his "development".. (So basically its needing premierest future Hall of Famer, 1st team All-NBA player to operate in the shadow of. Being "merely a good player" is failing Green) But what guidance figured helped Alperen Sengun emerge? The "mature stable" Christian Wood?' What figure "guided" Amen Thompson? The clown distraction Dillon Brooks that everyone didn't want? How come Amen & Sengun was helped by Dillon and steady vet VanVleet, so much they're playing even more passer facilitator guard than actual guard Jalen Green. But actual guard Jalen Green wasn't helped? How come 2 weeks from jail, 2 weeks from overseas league Kevin Porter Jr improved from a bum into a poser wannabe Harden-lite , with ZERO "strong guidance figures" and Stephen Silas? And that poser-ball was arguably better than Jalen? Jalen Green was considered "mamba motivation" 1st in/last out grindset coming into the league. How is it already Amen Thompson not even playing his natural position, is leading his teammates with "play the RIGHT way like I play it, or I'm punching your face"? The point: Why wasn't 1 Month March Mamba Jalen having that kind of approach? Maybe it helps explains why he's been more Jabari than Booker.
I wonder if some people here ever comment on anything besides Jalen Green. You only show up when there’s a topic about him. Not for the Rockets—just Jalen Green, and I can’t understand why? When he plays badly, you stay silent, and now that he scored a bit for the Suns, you suddenly reappear. In two games he’ll be trash again—everyone saw what happened last season. His current stats are behind Brooks, even worse than what he showed here. Be realistic and write something about the Rockets. If you’re that obsessed with JG, go join a Suns forum.
